Agreed. A small plastic kick plate for knocking the pedal forward is required. Scuffs up very quick on the white ones

A little underwhelming unless you really love laces. No real weight savings over the BOA, but I guess with their lace covers you get a bit of aero savings. And you lose the quick adjustability while riding. Hard no from me.

Seems par for the course with high-end shoes. At least the dyneema is more dirt resistant than the leather used by many others.
You could go with the Ares which has a plastic toe cover (which could also get scuffed). And the sock material is impossible to keep white.
Otherwise, cycling equipment is subject to wear and tear over time. No news here.
I love the white version. Plain and full white. Lovely!

For those that have these now, a question. One common issue with the boa version of the 7s, is that there is a pressure point at the top of the foot. Do the laces produce a more comfortable fit?
I would be surprised if this was *not* resolved, as this hot spot is created by part of the upper shoe that is present only on BOA version.aeroisnteverything wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 9:06 pmFor those that have these now, a question. Said that, this problem seems to be overrated anyway, as it is widely reported (on this forum, and it is my experience too) that 5 minutes with hairdryer is enough to fix the issue.

Got 'em: love 'em (at least on first try). I'll stand by my comment that the colours need work - all black and all white is a bit stark for my taste, and something white-and-black would be better IMO. I got the black, but will probably get a second white pair later for nicer weather.
But on the plus side: the top is instantly and significantly more comfortable than the Boa version and the laces, though they do take more time, really allow for a nice pressure-free but tight fit across the top. Just like my beloved Empires (previous gen), but a bit wider and therefore more comfy.
Weight in size 43.5 is 225g per shoe. This is around 15g less than the Boa version. Not much, but something.
