Probably asked before but my search skills are awful. I want to replace the Dira Ace 9100 chainrings with Carbon-ti ones: code xcr247809v.

Would this be a downgrade performance wise (shift quality)?

I only have experience with Carbon-Ti oval chain ring and I like them very much. The shifting experience is actually better for the oval chain ring if compare to the like of Abolute Black.

Anything else than DA will degrade shifting, the Only aftermarket I tested with “almost as good shifting performances” has been the Stronglight Ct2 (was better than the Absolute black for example).
The carbon Ti are rideable but when I used them they reminded me 7700 type of derailleur shifting (that was on a Cannondale hollowgram crankset)

Why do you want them? For look only? They are not lightweight, not cheap, with worse shifting qualities and don´t last long.
Complete waste of money

Thanks for your replies. I am contemplating of changing the Dura Ace cranks with SRAM Red cranks and change of chainrings aswell. I am not convinced uet to change ceanks and rings though.

BB86 so not a lot of choice.
