Specialized S-Works 8 Road Shoes?
Moderator: robbosmans
Most shops that are approaved to sell Specialized shoes will have a board that the customer stands on for a minute or so and the heat sensitive coating will change collors and provide a similar picture as the wet feet technique previously mentioned.LanceLegstrong wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 4:49 pmDo most Specialized shops have a fitting/testing system to get the right color insoles?

Cut the tongue guides because most people don't need them? This is also on BOA for setting up S3 replacement dials that way instead of allowing you to close the loop yourself as on other dials.

Mine arrived; first impressions they look really good; weird to see a white pair(first ever), the walking heel is tiny, love the dials, weight feels great, fit just chucking them on felt good.
So far happy will have to build them up tomorrow.

Really? Seems weird.ODC wrote:I have bought a white pair yesterday.
I needed to buy a half size bigger (44.5) in comparison with my Sworks Vent shoes.
My first impression: the torch are wider but at the toes lower.
Well, I’ve ordered both 43 and 42.5 as I’m usually in between these two and I’ve read somewhere that one might want to size down. Let’s see.
Seems to be holes in the tongue for the stitching - so cut the stitching. Any alterations tailor worth their salt will quickly repair them once the BOAs are back in place.
One thing I can't figure out is why Specialized still uses white plastic parts on its white shoes. Everyone who's owned a pair knows white plastic turns yellow (and it doesn't take long), and this will be even more pronounced on this shoe now that there will be a yellowed toe cap, too. The plastic parts should absolutely be black.
Do you mean the widest point while wider than before, it's closer to the heel?

I think he means lower volume.jlok wrote:Do you mean the widest point while wider than before, it's closer to the heel?
If you’ve had to repair any Boas, you can detach the wire inside the dial. Although I haven’t personally changed the wire in the S3, I have in previous models like the SW6IchDien wrote:Seems to be holes in the tongue for the stitching - so cut the stitching. Worse, when the white plastic gets scuffed, impossible to get it back to white. Maybe sand it down to a smooth surface?AW84 wrote:One thing I can't figure out is why Specialized still uses white plastic parts on its white shoes. The Vent is worse…all mesh on mine are off-white yellowish. Looks like a two-tone shoe.

I have my black ones. Maybe I'm too old for white shoes....
I like them; lighter and very comfy for my first ride.
Should have video review with comparison to Sworks 7 online later today.
