Just ordered mine. Black.
396 Euros with discount.
Funny how I baulked at paying 200 for my wedding shoes.....!
I've been with Sworks since the 5.
My 7's have been in service now for 4 years and are looking a bit worn, but still OK.
Will Youtube review these as soon as I've ridden them.

Actually kind of liking the green color but don't think it would go with any of my current kit. Would probably pick it up if they did this in the Recon or whatever that successor will be.

Are these definitely the "S Works 8" or will there be something else as I am looking to buy soon...

Yes!
In the FAQ:
How does the S-Works Torch fit into the line of S-Works shoes?
The S-Works Torch replaces the S-Works 7. The Torch carries forward a traditional fit with a classic, elegant design. It is crafted with supple materials and is built for an enhanced foot to pedal feel. In comparison, the S-Works Ares provides a more locked-down fit for explosive power.

I am really interested in real customer reviews. All the Magazins make it sound like absolutely everyone was craving for a wider shoe, which I really wasn't.

Yeah WTF!?
They did the same thing from SWorks 6 to SWorks 7 - widened the toe box massively.
If they make them any wider they'll be relative to a wide fit as standard!

I'm wondering about the insole that comes with the shoes.
I haven't seen the insoles being mentioned anywhere. Not on their website nor in any of the reviews.
From your experience with previous S-Works shoes, is the insole ok? Or is it recommended to replace it?

I’ve seen reviews of people that keep the stock insole. I’d say if you have low arches they’re fine. Otherwise specialized themselves recommend either of their three body geometry insoles.

Stock insoles are wafers!

Much better swapping out for your insoles of choice.

Thanks for the input.
Using their sizing guide, they recommend their Blue Body Geometry insoles (medium arches).
Does anyone have feedback on them? Are there better alternatives?

7's are on sale down to $350 right now. Snagged a pair plus the 15% off coupon.
Where? Didn’t think they allowed additional coupons.

wider is great if you need wide shoes, otherwise no thanks. You just end up clamping DOWN, rather than around. I've got a pair ot Shimano XC9 that have a ton of volume, so when I tighten them down, my feet don't feel positively connected to the sole, only plastered down. I imagine the Torch will be great for those with wide feet, others may find them less "fitted" and positive. Happy I got a pair of 7s on special, the fit is super positive.

Stay on the specialized page a bit. There’s a window bottom right for a 10% voucher on equipment.

I have very high arches and have tried various insoles over the years. By far, the best I've found are the Green Body Geometry insoles for high arches. They've been a game changer me. I've been using them in Shimano shoes but will now put them in these 8's.

How to justify cost especially when comparing with other shoes?
Wedding shoes = 1X use
Cycling shoes = everyday shoe!

What I usually do is clear the cookies for Specialized and refresh, it usually pops up. Need a new email for it. With the 15% off they came to $297 before tax.
