Probably right before or during the TDF.

So now that the lace 7s have made their appearance... when do folks think these might show up?
The laceup shoes were in stock on Specialized.com for both US and UK sites as of the announcement on Friday, but have since sold out of many of the most of the popular sizes and colors!

Are the Total Energie riders the only ones currently riding those shoes? I've met the Bora squad a couple of times the last few days and was looking for new kicks, but they're all using the 7 or Ares.

Difficult to say what's new on theses shoes, but I worked on pictures to have more details : https://www.matosvelo.fr/index.php?post ... s-coureurs
Sorry, it's in French. But these shoes really close to actual S-Works 7, but the cutout at the ankle is very different.

well the most obvious difference is it is missing the velcro toe strap.

It also has a "toe guard".

and the tongue seems to be longer which will hopefully remove the pressure spot on the front of the ankle.

Those new shoes look almost too plain. No visible heel cup either.

A rider told me they are not ready yet, he had to give it a treatment with the cutter knife to make the tongue work for him (some new elastic band that does not fit right). Also he was not keen to use it because it's only available in black at the moment 8)

Indeed it will be released for the TdF.

Luckily Specialized has 5 other premium shoe models to chose from. Heh.

7, 7 Vent, 7 Lace, Exos, Ares...

Is this a white version of the new sworks shoe Ewan is wearing? If so, a little strange that a non specialized rider gets pre production equipment.

Definitely the older BOA. If anything they look like a special color S-Works 7, not the new 8 from earlier pictures.

Definately not the 7. No velcro, totally different form. Pretty sure its the unreleased new shoe.
