Just a quick update on the ZTTO Gen 3 cassette; Earlier I commented that my drivetrain was louder since installing it, and I blamed the cassette (thinking that it's because it's a one-piece vs. the Ultegra cassette my bike came with).
I bought a new rear derailleur hanger, which helped to quieten the drivetrain noise, but this morning I thought I'd see if the noise was due to the KMC X11SL chain. I refitted the Ultegra chain the bike came with and VOILA! No more noise at all!
Hate to be a sreader of misinformation so thought I'd better share my findings. TLDR: Weight good, shifting good, price good. Very happy.
You know, it could also just be the cassette wearing in. I have the Goldix/Ztto all steel cassette, and I decided to try the new hybrid cassette (11 speed though). Not a fan of aluminum cogs but decided at this price/weight I'd try is as a "race wheel" option, and I'm doing some training miles on it to see if it explodes.
ALL of these cassettes had a little bit of noise at the beginning, with either a YBN or DA chain (very low miles/waxed). The hybrid cassette was actually the noisiest; but, after about 400-500kms of riding, they all quieted down. The Gen 3 hybrid is actually the most quiet of all of them. The last steel cog was super noisy at first, which I found a bit concerning, but after a few rides it just went away.
I'll also add that after doing a couple of rides on an Ultegra cassette, shifting w/the after market cassettes after the cassettes are worn in a bit is identical to Shimano, on the ones I'm using at least.
