This cassette will get better after 1,000km. I had over 2,700km on mine before swapping it out for the gen3 version.JWTS wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 10:51 amYeah, that's the one I'm using now. I just checked an after yesterday I'm at 1,000KM's on it. Agree that it makes sense to change the thread title to "aftermarket", because this is actually more expensive than an Ultegra cassette at this point! Still, for me it's worth it. It's 100 grams lighter in an 11-34, and more importantly the gear ratios are better. I'm using 11 speed, and note that some sellers have the sprocket sizes listed incorrectly. It's 11-12-13-15-17-19-21-24-27-30-34. The 11-13 jump on the Ultegra cassette feels terrible to me. My overall thoughts on this specific cassette on a 1-10 rating. Note that this is 11 speed Shimano Di2 (8150), 11-34:
Shifting: 9. It's really picking nits but there is a slight difference in speed of shifting between some combos vs. an Ultegra, but it's super close. As close to a Shimano cassette as you can get
Noise: 8 A couple of cogs are slightly noisy (barely). It's not objectionable, but it's there. I'm using a YBN SLA chain, so many a Shimano chain would be quiter...not sure.
Easy of use: 7.5 You need to have a well-adjusted hanger and b-screw for it to shift well. My Shimano cassettes are less fussy in this regard, but this isn't a big ask. The flip side is that the entire thing is one piece, and installation couldn't be easier.
Weight: 241 grams with lockring for an 11-34 11 speed. My HG800 same size was 341.
Durabilty: unknown, but it's all steel. After 1,000KM (new/waxed chains) I certainly don't see any wear at all and can't detect any with calipers.
The build quality seems really good, and I like it enough that I ordered another one for a different set of wheels. For 11 speed Shimano, I don't know of a better option unless you're really sensitive to a bit of noise. Other note here is that I'm on a Caledonia with slightly longer chain stays than a race bike, and in my experience that seems to help with shifting just a bit.

The one you looking at is full CNC so 2nd gen. The 3rd gen is with 3 aluminum cogs and under 150g

Received a ztto 3 gen, mine doesnt work correctly, It wobbles allaround when spinning the chain, i suspect the reason is because the fit in the bodyhub is not right at all before to close and tight It you can move It several milimiters in all directions.
It works ok going gears Up, but going down in some of the smalls coges takes two clicks, tried to play with the bscrew several times, same result
Im using a brandy new Duraace 9200 chain
sadly Im going to return it

It’s written gen3 on the back of the cassette.Thanos wrote:How do I know I'm buying a gen 3 cassette?
Looking for a 12S 11-34 and the Goldix one is 251.2g in the photo on AE, is that gen2 or 3?

Odd. My gen3 Goldix is solid and doesn’t move. No wobble on spin either.Wantax wrote:Received a ztto 3 gen, mine doesnt work correctly, It wobbles allaround when spinning the chain, i suspect the reason is because the fit in the bodyhub is not right at all before to close and tight It you can move It several milimiters in all directions.

The body hub is also new, a Duraace 9200 cassette has a tight fit in the same body hub, i Guess is a desing problem of this módel since doesnt have full internal raíls as others brands, just on the borders of both sidesnickf wrote:Try another wheel? So I've just now installed my ZTTO SLR Gen3 cassette.
It's an 11-speed 11-36 version. I have to say I am more than impressed with the build quality. The machining is immaculate and the low weight is quite frankly astonishing. I've swapped my RD for a GRX 810 to accommodate all the extra chain length and it's working flawlessly.
I'm running 50/34 front and a waxed chain. On the first test ride, I rode up a hill for ~12 minutes at 300W in the big cogs and did small sprints between 700W and 1000W. No skips for the sprints and shifting performance under load was on par with my old Shimano 11-32 for all I could tell.
Shifting while not loaded is smooth, just as with any other cassette.

I have only used a couple of 12s ztto cassettes. The all steel one I posted pics of earlier I am still using.
I bought a different one earlier with the lowest (largest sized) 5 gears in aluminium.
Nup. Not recommended. Doesn't shift well and unable to tune it to do so right across the cassette with my ultegra di2 derailleur.
