I think you can only know this if someone gets the normal Exceed and strip the paint off to compare weight...

Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
not necessary, they offer both versions without paintjob. RDC claimed 775 g, Standard claimed 953 g.

Sounds like it's about time to start using Paypal buyer protection wouldn't you agree? Keep us posted please.

I'm mentally ready to use PayPal protection or my credit card insurance to get my money back if something goes wrong with cycling100.
Isn't PayPal protection limited to only 45 or 60-days?
180 days from what I see on their website https://www.paypal.com/be/webapps/mpp/b ... le.x=en_BE

Is the SEKA handlebar really worth $480 USD + customs/VAT ? Thats like a $630 handlebar once it reaches Europe. More expensive than anything else except THM / Darimo.

Sure, different thing if ordered with a frame DPD.
I think it's not USD in this price list. It's singapor dollars.
Of course it's SG$. Hence my previously saying it was 20% price rise. They're not going to raise prices 65% overnight. Though by the same token, don't expect these frames to stay below US$3000 for too long, given the way the rest of the industry pricing is headed. I give it under 18 months before they're US$3k.

I didn't use PayPal as I prefer to deal with my credit card issuer. I'm not really worried about not receiving the frameset, but I'm increasingly frustrated by the delays and the absence of communication.

Was it your balance you paid on 1/7 or pre order? The lack of communication from Cycling100 is a little concerning. Until a few days ago I shared your optimism about the frame arriving eventually but now that there appears to be no contact from them. I'm not so sure.

There is also an option to contact Seka directly. I did that and got an answer within a day or so.

Pre order March 31
Rem. balance July 1

There was someone here who pre-ordered on March 1 and received the frameset in July.

Oh, that's interesting. Where did you find that address? I wonder can they answer questions on existing orders? I know Cycling100 were trying to ship some of the orders direct from the factory.

Isn't Cycling100 simply an online storefront/marketing company, where as Sekabikes.com is the actual exporter and/or possibly the manufacturer in China? Has me wondering if that price increase mentioned up above is simply Cycling100 increasing profit margins or is the exporter actually increasing the price.

That means cycling100 doesn't have any bike frame in stock, they only make the order to SEKA after they receive the pre-order payment. So you need to wait for a long time.

It is listed as contact information on Sekabikes.com. I am not sure if they are able to give you the answer you are looking for, but my frame got shipped directly from the factory and hence they should be able to give you some info. At least it is worth an email..

@liam7020
When did you order/
when did you pay the pre-order?

Responses from cycling100 come to my experience like waves. Sometimes fast, sometimes not for a while. May be due to the fact that Jonathan seems to be responsible for most of the customer communication (and is certainly sometimes sick and or has vacation) or that the information from the production site only comes in dribs and drabs and so only dribs and drabs are communicated further.
It should also not be forgotten at the moment that in china, due to the Covid strategy, disruptions of the economy and of life occur again and again - sometimes affecting only parts of the city, sometimes more.
