Seka Exceed RDC

Really premium packaging.
Now the sad part : the weight --> 929g for the frame (RDC size M, with only the derailleur hanger and bottle cage bolts on it)
I was expecting something around 870-880...

That's 910g, so 929g isn't bad.
It doesn't really say you should hit under 900g. You have gloss + decals as far as i can see?
Atleast your fork should be about 100g lighter than the Ostro fork.

Here's what cycling100 list on their website :
Frameset weight(size M unpainted): 775g - Paint and fittings adds approximately 85g
So it's far away from advertised weight
Well, looks like 40~60g higher than listed is the norm for the Naked Black RDC frames - really unfortunate.
Makes me worried about how much worse the other painted / non-RDC frames will be :S

I've always been curious of the Rdc and regular version.
Just paint or a deferent lay up ?

I've weighted the fork, and it's 400g uncut. So anthoer 35g more than advertised. Adding the seat clamp that was not on the frame when I weighted it, that put me at 117g more than the advertised weight. That's a 9.5% difference.
I feel like my frame is a regular one with RDC sticker and clear coat.

Pretty obvious that Seka is advertising false weight. That 775g just isn't correct.nlvx wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 3:20 pmNo, I'm in Belgium.ladeef wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 2:48 pmnice, are you in the US?nlvx wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 12:57 pmIMG_20221006_121842.jpg

A layer of clear coat and a sticker is not 117 gram
Were the weights for the bars and seatpost on point?nlvx wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 12:57 pmIMG_20221006_121842.jpg

Hey everyone new exceed rdc owner here. Just a little context about my order for those that are wondering.
I placed my order on 5/19/2022 paid the "deposit" with an estimated turn around time of 10-12 weeks. Received an email from Cycling100 on 9/15/2022 to pay off the remaining deposit. Total shipping charge and tax was $200usd no other vat charges and whatnot. Sent multiple emails to confirm the correct order ie. Handlebar lengths, 2x derailleur hanger, t47 bb. Cycling100 replied quickly to those emails so I figured everything was set. Waited a couple of days and heard no response about shipping so I sent another email asking when it would be shipped out. No response from them so I waited and waited. I ended up checking my own order number through their website and all the info about the order being processed was there. I received my frame on 10/4/22 here in California.
Onto the bike. Overall received the frame in "decent" condition. Small small blemishes here and there near the back end of the top tube but overall it was good enough for me. Size XS Frame set weighed in at 950g, uncut fork at 410, 90x380 handlebar at 330g without any mounts installed, seatpost without the clamp came in at 100g (didn't bother weighing the clamp. Ordered a zero setback seatpost (which was a mistake thinking I might be too stretched out from my old giant tcr setup in which I had to get a zero degree seatpost for that, ended up having to order a -15 seatpost). You can tell the manufacturing process is a little less consistent compared to other bands.
Build went decent minus dealing with internal routing of the handlebars and headset (I now I understand why it's so annoying for mechanics lol).
Did a first test ride yesterday and the ride felt very compliant with my 28mm /hunt 44 ud setup. Also have a set of 56mm farsports revo wheels that I will test for a bit more aero gains. Bike feels stiffer than my tcr in a good way. Def less power loss throughout the frame. I decided not to lower my stem because my age is starting to feel the lower back pain compared to my lowered tcr.
Overall I'm glad I chose the red color to be a little more different than all my black/matte bikes :p
If you guys have any random questions about the frame or experience of buying from c100, feel free to let me know.
