Maybe it's the universe's way of telling Ted that he needs to find a place where he can design things but not handle operations and supply chain himself, let alone deal with customers. But he doesn't listen...
He's a specialist, not a generalist. The way he was and obviously still is doing business is simply not sustainable. Lying in his clients faces or radio silence when issues arise are never valid options.

There's something obsessive going on. A psychologist would have a field day. Anyway, I put my order in at aliexpress two days ago. It seems to have been accepted. Now the parcel anxiety begins.

Only because we are only here on earth for a short time. There are plenty of fools that will give them their money and even more that insist he is a good guy that has issues that we need to deal with.

If this thief makes another product, there will be a new set of fools willing to buy his products and another thread that will end the same way.

Another Aliexpress seller has them. He's put his branding on the centre bolt. I'm glad to say his price is higher than what I paid:

A blogger in Japan has written them up - looks like he's a member here. Say hello ACK!

His blog is full of interesting things - recommended reading.

I've had issues with Ted in the past, and his partner-distributors came to the rescue. He's been pushing the envelope for many years, and I still respect that. However, he really needs to seek help in managing his supply, manufacturing, QC, and logistics - so he can focus on what he does best.
What he does best, which is bullshit people for the length of his brake manufacturing career. The whole entire time.

But I can't wait to match his brakes with my new Lew carbon wheels...ergh...haven't heard from him since Interbike 2004 in Las Vegas when I sent payment...I just hope he's OK, that's all.(sarcasm)

And now that you mention it I'm still waiting for my Ruegamer carbon tandem frame. Haven't heard from her in years even though I email her once a week. Someone in her workshop named Gladys or Blanche keeps telling me it's almost done...but they've been sending me the same reply since 2003. I think something is going on...(more sarcasm)

No, but I'm still scarred by the endless arguments between Cees and the Lightweight fans.

I'm wondering-if there are reports of multiple sets of these failing at the arm where the shoe mounts, why on earth would you take a chance at any price?
I'm not afraid of buying stuff from China, but when there are multiple user reports of failures, I'd be leary.
