Hi,

Can anyone confirm me 2 things?

1. Are the new Wahoo Speedplay Comp easy entry cleats adjustable or not? Do they have the heel in/out screws?

2. Are the spindles compatible with older Speedplays? I'm thinking probably not since the bearings are different, but if someone really knows the answer I'll be very appreciated.

Thanks!

1. The pics suggest yes but I've not seen them in person

2. No

ad 1. Yes, they have the same bolts for the both way adjustment.

ad 2. No, they are not compatible, they have different spindles from the original Speedplay pedals...

Purchased a sheet of 6/4 Ti, Grade 5 0.025" to make Carbon sole protectors for under my SP cleats. Hopefully it wears for some time but only time will tell.

Does that metal go inbetween the cleats and the carbon sole? or does it get sandwiched between the black adapter and the top yellow C clip retainer?

I suspect the previous post has Speedplay specific shoes which may require the purple or grey shims, but not the adapter plates and thus enjoy a lower stack height.

I have a pair of Northwave Extreme Pros that has the (Northwave Speedplay adaptor) and the Ti sheet is to go between the cleat and the adaptor as it has a minimal piece of stainless plate. I made a small jig that sandwiches the sheet and then allows me to drill the holes for the cleat bolts to pass through. I decided to do this as Wahoo has no shims available at the moment and there is nothing left from SP for the sole protectors.I wanted to go with something a little thicker than stock (doesnt last long) and yet still be nearly as light. The stock shim is 0.2mm and what I have is 0.64. Little more stack but nothing crazy.
