After only 4 weeks of riding my new Pinarello Gan Disk the frame is damaged. With Pinarello warranty it can take a very long time before I have a new bike and I'm going on a cycling holiday on the 1st of July. I'm lucky that I ride a smaller size frame because some websites still have those in stock. My Pinarello size was 46.5 with a 130mm -17 stem.

Characteristics i'm looking for:
I mostly train and race in the mountains and hardly ever ride on the flat. I like a bike that is agile in the corners and descents and feels very lively on the climbs. Climbing feel is most important. I also like a bike that can get me in a low position so a short headtube would be best. If I ever race a flat race it should not be too much out of place there but it's not a priority that it has a lot of aero features.

Any recommendations for a good disc frameset under 2.5k (under 2k would be even better) are welcome. So far I came across the Holdsworth Corsa Superlight Disc and the Stevens Xenon or Comet Disc.

Thanks in advance for helping

check here, maybe you will find something interesting in stock, i've got my pinarello gan disk frameset from them: https://www.saldenbikes.com
I know, it's over 2,5k, but there are still in stock tarmac s-works sl6 framesets in size 44 (bike24), which with -7/9 stem will be similar to gan disk in46,5 and your stem.

I got my Pinarello from Salden. Very unfriendly and no service whatsoever after buying the bike. The SL6 looks good tho. I think on the 44 the seat height would be the only issue. Seat tube is 60mm shorter than my Pinarello so seatpost minimum insertion probably won't be enough...

I'll go in a totally different direction n instead of a big brand I'll go for something that I could trash wo much care or pain.
You may love your frame but the airline baggage handlers don't really much care and I've see a few k worth of deep sea fishing rod case thrown like like so much garbage.

The ICan A2 is just a hair under $800 n has some really decent specs.

I'm a CAT 3 Masters racer, not a dentist.

Maybe check Merlin Cycles, something like this could be a good stop gap, much below your budget and quite light for alu https://www.merlincycles.com/kinesis-ai ... 72179.html
