Galfer rotors

Anyone tried these? Are supposedly lighter than DA, and seems to be in stock here and there. How do they hold up compared to other alternatives?

Running the centerlock 160mm rotors here, working fine.

Running 2 140mm on my race wheels. Indeed they have not been completely straight, some readjustment was needed. Other than that they brake well and work as they should. Probably wont have the longest live due to the lightness.

Have had 2 x 160 and 2 x 140.

The only one that has not warped (indeed some were warped straight from the packet) has been my rear 140.

just installed these on my BMC..

160 was slightly warped.. used my park tool to bend it straight.
140 was good to go.

using original shimano lockring because it's alot little then the one that came with galfers. All and all probably saved 20g vs Shimano DA

160mm front has needed very regularly re-bending with rotor truing tool. Warps all the time.

140mm only occasional tweaks.

Would I purchase a 160 again for the front? No.
Would I purchase a 140 again for the rear? Maybe, it's fine, and it's very light. But don't really want mismatched rotors as it looks crap.

Little more wear and I'm switching to heavier Hope ones. After those I'll probably try Brake Stuff. From what I've heard, performance / staying true wise, Brake Stuff are just about the best you can get, but as far as rotors go, they are pretty dear.

Not convinced that saving weight on rotors is worth the headache. Sturdy 6 bolt rotors with a lightweight BikeAhead Composites 6-bolt to CL adapter is the way to go IMO.

I have not done a descending ride yet with mine.. just a practice crit so next to no braking.

did a ride with some descending on the weekend.. I usually get a tick or two from my DA rotors on this route, but nothing on the Galfers so far.

I've got these on at the moment and I've had got my share of issues with them. My front rotor was warped and it overheats on long descents which ruined my fun on the desdents. Since I've left the Sierra Nevada in Spain for terrain that's more rolling hills it hasn't been much of an issue.

Interestingly I lock up the rear 140mm sometimes, which I never did with the 160mm Centerline.

They're light and available but I wouldn't get them again.

Anyone knows if Galfer Road discs are compatible with Campagnolo Bora WTO?
On their webpage it states they are not compatible with Fulcrum AFS System. For my knowledge, also Campagnolo Bora WTO disc wheelset have the AFS system...

I think they have just released a AFS specific adaptor

Don't know, but if you look at Galfer's website it states: Not Compatible with Fulcrum AFS System. At this point, I'm thinking they are referring to the AFS lockring rather than the wheelset itself since both, Campagnolo and Fulcrum, are also Centerlock compatible.
