Rolling resistance

Given how tight the GP5000 TL's are, I'd hate to try and fit them with latex tubes.

Same goes for the Schwalbe Pro One TLE's
Stupid tight and I wasnt able to install a latex tube without pinching it and popping it.
Now running tubeless and while the ride is sublime, the rear tyre is still leaking air slowly after several weeks (on the side wall , right at the edge of the tread)

The GP5k TL is amazing. It is why I am now all tubeless on all my wheelsets. It is extremely hard to put on but once you do it a few times it gets easier. I have 32mm and 25mm versions. They have been tough enough for me to take on gravel roads as well.

Too bad for those on hookless.

If anyone has an EOL 5000TL, please could they cut the bead and post a photo that shows its construction? What I'm really wondering is whether it's an aramid-only bead.......

Here you go. My rear one was showing canvas at parts so it was time to change it. Easy to cut through with normal scissors.

That bead does appear to be an ordinary all-aramid construction; I think it explains why they're tight to fit initially then there's a little bit of permanent extension, and Conti aren't keen to suggest hookless use.
The structural aspect of the bead seems to be the one thing that wasn't innovative. Still a great tire all the same.

Using a latex tube in a 25mm tubeless tire is as fast as using ~30mL of sealant. I don't use tubeless just because of the Crr benefit. Flat prevention on top of the rolling efficiency is what makes tubeless worth it.

Aerocoach and Bicycle Rolling Resistance have both tested for rolling resistance of sealant - results on their websites I think.
