Nimbl Ultimate Road Shoes
Moderator: robbosmans
Was looking at the new Q36.5 road shoes and than saw these. They ship to the USA and they asked me for some feet measurements in order to get correct size. Anyone know anything about the fit on these?

That's a lot of cheddar for a shoe that uses A-Top dials. Those things are not great.
The weight and the fit is what caught my eye. Looks like they have a wider toebox which I need. but I also have narrow ankles. Hoping they check off both.
Hmm...I thought Boa made all the dials.OnTheRivet wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 7:00 pmThat's a lot of cheddar for a shoe that uses A-Top dials. Those things are not great.
Agree, they belong on $60 shoes not €499 shoes. Massive oversight or massive cash grab, hard to take them seriously.OnTheRivet wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 7:00 pmThat's a lot of cheddar for a shoe that uses A-Top dials. Those things are not great.
No, BOA is BOA and has lifetime warranty for their system, others has their own...jgman wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 9:36 pmThe weight and the fit is what caught my eye. Most probably a Verducci shoes minus the plastic bit on the front.
I think you'd be mad not to get the Lake, but I'm a bit biased, I wear Lakes.

The 14 day returns period from order rather than delivery, and restocking fee (neither of which are compatible with the UK distance selling regulations) are also not great signs.
I quite like the look though.

The UK distance selling regulations are based on EU regulations (for the time-being anyway). It's also not compatible with EU law. They're basically flagrantly stating that they intend to break EU law ... though this is not uncommon.ghisallo2003 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 10:00 amThe 14 day returns period from order rather than delivery, and restocking fee (neither of which are compatible with the UK distance selling regulations) are also not great signs.

It would appear the carbon soles are either made by Verducci or their supplier. Upper very similar on all their shoes too, and the ATOP dials.
However they do big sizes and half sizes, and appear to do unmatched pairs .... which is a massive advantage. 48, 48.5, 49, 49.5, 50.
ATOPs work fine imo ... just they have a reputation for falling apart. But new generation BOAs are much flimsier than the old ones too.
Not keen on the lack of cleat tracks though. Why fixed position only?

Cleat tracks? For Look it is the pedal that moves not the hole?

And if you're using an alternative system ...?ghisallo2003 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 8:46 pmCleat tracks? For Look it is the pedal that moves not the hole?
