My bike has the following Thru Axle Dimensions Front: 125mm x 12mm Rear: 165mm x 12mm
The wheelset dimensions are Front: 100mm x 12mm Rear: 142mm x 12mm

Are the wheels compatible or do I need to find wheels with matching dimensions?

Wheels need to compatible with frame and fork spacing, typically 12x100 front and 12x142 for the rear. Thru axles need to be the same diameter as the wheels but need to be the correct length for the frame and fork. The correct length thru axle for a ‘12x100’ fork and ‘12x142’ frame will always be longer than 100mm and 142mm because the thru axle spans not only the 100/142mm width of the hub but also the dropout thickness of the fork and frame.

Short answer: if those axles are matched to your frame and fork and your frame’s dropouts are spaced at 142mm (very likely) then what you have is compatible.

On quick release wheels the skewers come with the wheels.

On thru axle frames the axles belong to the frame. Not the wheels.

You can fit most wheels as long as you keep the thru axles with the frame they were designed for.
