Maybe in months, when Chinese produce it...
Pretty sure that is what was implied as I had posted earlier in the thread that replies from a couple Ebay sellers had indicated that companies like J&L were working on it.
So you can remove the spindles, you're just not supposed to as they are supposed to be a sealed unit. But it's user risk if we try it with an aftermarket spindle.

Yes, but that was also the case with the legacy Speedplay pedals.

I was considering taking a chance on a new set Wahoo pedals but until they work out the current issues I will go with a set of the Pave I found online.

Got mine replaced by warranty. In the interim I’ve gone back to DA pedals but with yellow cleats. Think I’ll just stick with that now to be honest

The wife has been riding on Shimano XTR SPD pedals on her gravel bike for more than a year, and last week I finally convinced her to swtich to DA road pedals, which I put on last week. She first did a couple sessions on the trainer last week and after a bit of fiddling to sort out cleat position, I noted she was riding a bit fasster on Rouvy and despite her highly calibrated knees, after two road rides over the weekend, hopefully we will finally be rid of Speedplay pedals.

So, believe it or not, same problem here, I'm about 150kms in on them. Just the NDS / left pedal with 2-4mm movement. Very annoying when riding. Drive side is absolutely fine. Messaged wiggle regarding warranty.

Did you guys go direct to Wahoo for warranty?

I bought them directly from Wahoo, so yes. But maybe you can try to contact Wahoo directly, I think they will solve it for you without Wiggle.

Is there any way to determine "bad" batch?
They became available in my country recently so I don't want to mess with this.
Do someone now if Chromoly Comp version is issue free?

Same here. 2 sets of Zero Stainless and lateral play both times. Wahoo support has been fine but the quality is no good. I rebuilt my old Speedplays but the prospect of less maintenance and ditching the grease gun sounded great. It's not looking good though.

Not only did they move manufacturing from USA to SEA without any price benefit for the consumer, but they managed to mess up a working design? Nice.

Sounds like Garmin. "Great service" in the sense that they endlessly replace bad products, but what a waste that is.

Probably a bad batch. I had no problem with mine. My guess is that the spindle wasn’t machining properly and too loose of tolerance for the inner race of bearings.

3rd set. 3 bad batches? We'll see how the 4th is - they're on the way.
