Wow, this is going to be great!Trkorb wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 9:53 pmXLPR will be available in Rival Force and Red version from launch.gSporco wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 5:02 pmI wonder if they will release a lighter tier of XPLR in Force or Red next year.. But either way this is a great start.. For me 10-40 something would be a true 2x killer for all my riding needs (not a cadence junky) my e13 9-46 was almost perfect, but the shfting wasnt as crisp as full AXS Eagel, Force and Red for meMayhemSWE wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 4:38 pmThis has now turned up at Chain Reaction:

quite exciting to find out if they will follow road groupset and use flat top chain or stick with mtb groupset and use conventional design.jlok wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 7:59 amSRAM Force XPLR Etap AXS Rear Derailleur AU

So before the 10-52 Eagle Cassettes came out.. The Eagel AXS RD used to say some where that the minimum tooth cassettes was 44 or something in the 40's. I can confirm that the XX1 Eagle AXS RD works flawlessly with an e13 9-46 Cassette, So I cant imagine why a 44 wouldn't shift just fine.
This all being said, Sram redesigned their X01 AXS RD with a 10mm shorter cage for what they say is more ground clearance and increase chain wrap. So I would think the X01 AXS would work even better.

Sorry but this is thread that gives most rival axs search results.
So...where did the rival axs thread go?
My question: maybe a bit too soon but anyone knows if it would be possible to use rival axs with the sram etap hrd "old" 11spd calipers (the postmount version)?

Can't answer your question, but here's a link to the rival thread.

You can use a MTB caliper. The AXS used an existing platform- Level maybe. The AXS calipers push 15% more fluid, so you can just have touchy brakes too.pmprego wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 10:48 pmSorry but this is thread that gives most rival axs search results.

Do you mean the AXS brake levers push more fluid (bigger bore hence more fluid per stroke distance)? Also, from which document could we find that 15% figure?jfranci3 wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 4:59 am:You can use a MTB caliper. The AXS used an existing platform- Level maybe. p.s. yes, I'm using Red AXS with 2-piece Level TL post mount caliper.

Product announcement does not necessarily mean product delivery in any significant quantity. lolbikewithnoname wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 3:20 pmSRAM really are rubbing thier superior supply chain in Shimano's face if this is true (and they can ship it). So many new releases this year!
I was listening to a podcast where they interviewed the president of a bike manufacturer and he said the delays for SRAM components is now similar to Shimano's. There was only a small window last year when SRAM was still able to deliver with a reasonable wait time.
With the imminent release of new Shimano groupsets, SRAM naturally would want to announce their new products ahead of the inevitable steamroll by the 900lbs gorilla that commands 85% market share. Many bike manufacturers are expected to announce 2022 models with the new Shimano components. (That same president said their order of Shimano last year, which could not make it for this summer, has been converted to an order of the new Shimano for their 2022 bikes,)
yep, a perfect example right now for all the gamer nerds out there: graphics card supply has been choked for the last ~7 months yet the biggest player in the market continues to push out new models one after the other despite not being able to stock anything, even when the products use the same critical (and supply-scarce) parts and new models have barely any difference in performance between the previous (yet the demand is just as ferocious every time regardless)darrydonds wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 6:45 amProduct announcement does not necessarily mean product delivery in any significant quantity. lolbikewithnoname wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 3:20 pmSRAM really are rubbing thier superior supply chain in Shimano's face if this is true (and they can ship it).
