Very cool, are you using the Garbaruk b knuckle link extender as well? What chain are you using?

Cool, i wonder if you even need the extra b link, the Garbaruk cage alone may lower the upper jockey wheel enough to clear the 44t

I was wondering about the same thing as Garbaruk says they tested this up to 42max only. Run across a guy on instagram with the setup (33T derailleur + garbaruk cage wo. the extension link) and he claims it worked flawlessly for him.

What I'm still wondering is the chain as I thought road cassettes need road chain due to the slightly different roller diameter? So probably the eagle chain would work as above but I guess that might cause premature chain/cassette wear.

I had that combo and 10-50 eagle cassette and it was not shifting properly. The largest cog was dropping the chain. Also there is issue that chain is too long when running 10-50 cassette, so heavier gears have chain slack.

10-44 xplr cassette works ok.

Right, you don't need the extender link g-link to run 44 cassette. I have removed mine after selling 10-50 cassette and sticking with 10-44 only.

Good to hear, hows the shifting? If its not great, I would think using a Flattop chain would improve it..

Already some good discounts at R2 here in Germany:
- Kit with RED RD and cassette for 695€ instead of 910€
- Kit with Force RD and cassette for 477,50€ instead of 550€
..
also single items cheaper already and available. Maybe not selling that well?

Hopefully some air escaping out of the recent pricing bubble in the cycling industry.

I think it is more likely that the discounts are related to the better component availability. When Sram released the XPLR they also said that the availability is limited at launch and will get better later in the fall.

That's weird, I thought SRAM had price control on dealers. In the US it's impossible to find SRAM stuff below msrp. R2 won't ship SRAM stuff to the US either.

Was never not available here. But that is only for cassette and RD. Brakes and STI are almost impossible to find. Maybe that is the problem: you are only able to upgrade and basically not able to get a whole groupset.

Luckily, that form of price control is, with a few exceptions like books, forbidden over here.

Price fixing is illegal in the EU, and the penalties if you're caught doing it can be astronomical.
