Sorry - I didn't see that. Did it mention no Thumb shifter?GaBa wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 10:32 amThey were already mentioned in this topic although from some instagram post. To my knowledge 10t sprockets suck friction wise so that is downside. Upside is the system as a whole will be lighter and if I understand you correctly this is (one of) their aim? I like it, I still look at what the bike weighs

We didn't understand, it was in Portuguese (a Brazilian). We got ratios as they were written. And so was a pic of rear der. So no thumb shifter is that surprise I guess. And surprise it is!morrisond wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 4:28 pmSorry - I didn't see that. ^ It's been posted here before that 10-25 was going to be part of the new lineup, plus 10-27 IIRC, and that 10-29 would be the biggest; no more 32 or 34T cassettes. My assumption is that the new derailleurs would work with the matching cassettes supplied with the groupsets; they normally do...ultimobici wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 3:54 pmHow do you plan getting the 25 to work? Spokes & mech will be far too close.satanas wrote:Assuming the current 11-29 cassette will still work, the new chainrings could give some useful options. 10-25 plus 11-29 should cover just about everything...
The idea seems to be smaller cassettes and chainrings = less weight. However, I'm a spinner and have no use for super high gears, so for me an 11T small cog (or larger) would be more useful most of the time.

Just because a poster on a forum says it's so doesn't make it true.satanas wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 7:48 am^ It's been posted here before that 10-25 was going to be part of the new lineup, plus 10-27 IIRC, and that 10-29 would be the biggest; no more 32 or 34T cassettes. The reason 25 is no longer offered by any manufacturer on 12 speed is to do with the physical space needed to avoid the spokes. Any smaller than 29 brings the cage too close to the spokes. The cassette would have to cram 12 sprockets into the space 11 took up. To do this the chain would have to be even thinner.
I doubt Campag is going to risk making an even thinner and potentially weaker chain. The only reason the Ekar chain can be thinner is because it is 1x specific.
wait what???? sram axs 12s is avalaible with 10-26t, 10-28t, 10-33t so your statement is invalid.

Nope. Campag already runs close due to the way its mech works. I didn't say it would be impossible, just that it would be too close.ultimobici wrote: ↑Sun Nov 13, 2022 3:37 pmsatanas wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 7:48 am

So this is the end of the 53/39 chainring?
Hopefully product support will continue for V4

Lots of new patents published by Campag recently - most regarding new wireless levers. The drawings are very detailed which suggests near production design. NO THUMB LEVER! Two switches behind the brake lever - but mechanical with the electronics in the body. Not sure if this is to 'protect' the electrics or get around patents. Cell battery in the lever body. Pressure switches and LED lights in the body too. Also, brake fluid resovoir sensors for brake diagnotics.

A friend of mine (shop owner) was looking at getting EPS 12 for his new ride.. after talking to one of his distributors, the distributor more or less said wait til March..
Dunno how true any of that is.. theyve kept the lid pretty tight on this one...
