i beleive sw cotton are the best tires made today. WARNING they do have quality control issues. i have had 2 tires 26mm delaminate . first one was warrantied. second one still waiting since it was purchased 2 years ago but only used late last year. the issue is the glued on rubber on the cotton carcass does not always hold .

Ok, I'm convinced. Just ordered a pair of Turbo Cotton Hell of the North Sagan Collection tires in 28mm, all black, I'm not a gum wall guy. Going to mount with vittoria latex tubes. I weigh 145lbs, will ride at 75/80 psi f/r. Looking forward to giving them a try.

Just want to chip in here, I've put about 3500km on a pair of turbo cottons in 3 months, and they have been phenomenal. Comfortable and sure-footed, and suprisingly resilient - I haven't had a single flat in this time on fairly poor roads. Far superior in every way to the GP5000 I was riding before, including puncture resilience (maybe I just got lucky?).

Unfortunately, both of the tyres have started to delaminate with the rear esp. bad. I've written to the shop I purchased them from about a warranty claim, let's see how that goes. It would be a shame to have this delamination be the end of them as there's plenty of rubber left on them and they have been great for me.

In my case, TCs reach their end of life at 4000km latest anyway (67kg). They still look good by then but they start getting flats. So a warranty claim for a consumable that is at its end doesn't make much sense imho.

Specialized has a minimum tire pressure for this tire? Are you sure. I've never heard of such a thing. I would think pressure would be dictated by rim width, rider weight, and tire width.

We're about the same weight, OP, and I run my TCs at 75 psig on 21 mm internal width rims (Roval Alpinist CLX). That's with 26 mm tires. I'd say 95 is a bit high.

Check out the Roval website, it tells you what pressure to run a tire based on the Roval rim, tire width and your weight. For my weight using Alpinist CL wheel set, I run my 28mm TC tires with latex tubes at 65psi, great ride. So far over approximately two months of riding 4-5 days a week 20-40 mile rides I have had one flat, not bad.

Yeah, exactly. It's not tire-specific. More about the rim, rider weight, and tire width. The 95 psig number is just a suggested number.

My warranty claim was accepted for both tires - I haven't had a single flat so far and the tires look good (apart from the delamination), so I'm glad I got a good response on this.

For pressures, my total system weight is about 80kg, and I run 70-72 F and 75 R.
