Really digging how smaller the new hoods become. Almost close to the rim brake eTap.

And I wish this shape would be backported into the Red/Force range, although I know it's not likely since the shifters are compatible...

I guess maybe the Rival levers are lighter than RED and Force……waiting for seperated weighing

Aside from the whole gruppo, I can see this being popular to run with Shimano cassette (or ZTTO), chain & crankset. Assuming that is the FD isn't gimped and will work with 50-34 / 52-36.
While I can't say for sure, if it's the same as Force or Red, it should work fine with a 50T, but probably not a 52T. The larger chainrings SRAM released have to be used with a special FD to accommodate the height adjustment.

It's potentially a reasonable assumption. Would explain why they haven't released weights for brifters only.

That would be great news. I'm sure the RD should be mechanically compatible with an 11-xx cassette, but firmware gimping is possible I suppose.

There's a user on here (DaveS) who's used SRAM Force AXS with a lot of different chainring options. He's mentioned many times that a 16T jump is no problem for the FD to handle.

I've never done it, but I'm probably going to try as I really don't want to give up my sub-600g Praxis crankset with 48/32 chainrings.

What are you going to do for the cassette & chain? SRAM or Shimano (compatible)?

Currently running 48/35 red chainring with the red FD but if 48/32 would work I'd totally switch to it, so I get an easier low gear.

Wow. Rival quarq power meter crankset for $349?? That's insane.
Super impressive. In UK money a 105 chainset + Stages 105 arm is £475, the complete Rival AXS PM chainset is £322.

Rival chain, probably 10-36 cassette (or maybe the 10-33 I have sitting). I have two sets of Hunt wheels for my 3T so XDR drivers are readily available and inexpensive. Chainrings aren't technically compatible with the AXS chain, but I'd certainly try it.

So now I want to know, what's the cheapest cassette I can run with this setup?

Got two of these coming end of the month.
One for a customers bike and one for my Allez commuter / pub bike.

What SRAM have done is amazing for the price point. Shimano crying right now...

I think that's cheap, considering you have folks on this forum dropping $400-500 on a single seatpost.
