That was me initially. I reported my chainstay crack issue very early on and said there there would be more. I think @Doctoroste was the other member who also had the chainstays crack.Jeffouille wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 11:22 amI think at least two persons on this forum got cracks on their frame. I might be paranoid but I have more and more the feeling that this seatpost/handelbar changing story is Canyon's way to check many more issues (or at least the frame) on the bike without saying it.
Both of us have been in limbo awaiting news from Canyon. I finally lost patience and called for a refund yesterday and am supposed to be getting a call back today as the person who handles that wasn't in the office. We'll see how it goes.
Forktube was also pre lubricated. Just trying to figure out thing how it should be. Before customer service answers and trying to pull my legAerohead23 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 3:34 pmThey said theyre pre lubricating them as i belive that was whay they said the problem was.

Is that the side of the seat post?karirunk wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 6:18 amhttps://pin.it/2UAiJPM
New aeroad with fixed seatpost after 20km ride
I did clean the post and the hole. There was carbon paste at wrong place and I havent even used that red paste. After cleaning I did ad the magic white grease to correct place. Now 22km later no wear. The improvment might have been done poorly, maybe some wrong tolerances or not smooth enough surface.
corrosion ? I think you mean friction

Not that it matters but it's been driving me crazy. Does anyone know exactly what they did to the frames!? What materials and dimensions have been changed? The seatpost is still supposed to move back and forth right? It's fundamentally the same idea, with the clamp at the bottom?

Nothing has changed on the frame, they just added a rubber sleeve to prevent dirt and grime from wearing down the seatpost.
I was under the impression that they modified the frame opening somehow. Is that inaccurate?robbosmans wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 4:35 pmNothing has changed on the frame, they just added a rubber sleeve to prevent dirt and grime from wearing down the seatpost.

Yeah that is correct! Englisch is my other language
They ad some carbon layer to the frame not just rubber seal
