Does anyone know if wahoo is going to be offering the carbon sole protectors? So far the website only lists replacement cleats.

I fitted my old Ward ti spindled pedals (all quite well used) onto my commuter and old shoes just about a month ago. Dang! it actually feels quite good. No play, compared to my other set-up with DA cw red cleats which are not that well used. Now it's making me think if my feet don't 'float' as much since being forced by using the fixed DA for quite a long period. Should I revert to Speedplay? Nasty question? :?

Are the old Speedplay Titan spindles compatible with the new wahoo pedal body? If it's possible you can upgrade the cromo Version to the titan spindle with a cheaper aftermarkt spindle...

Good question. I stored a few pairs before they went missing.

Spindles look chunkier too. I suspect that's where most of the weight is. I'm sure J & L will remedy that, though.
I wonder how Wahoo will act toward aftermarket producers of replacement parts and if they will go after them as SP did previously?
Speedplay were the kings of patent trolling and spurious litigation. I suspect Wahoo would rather not ruin their reputation with such shenanigans, and they certainly haven't so far.

Speedplay are really for peope who want some non-recentering float - I have mine adjusted to just a few degrees but cannot replicate the feel with Shimano pedals - the recentering and unnatural float results in instant pain. I also use a 3mm longer spindle because I have a slight heel-in position and this allows the cleat to remain centered on the shoe. The ability to adjust the position of Speedplay cleats independently along each direction is also very helpful for fitting.
Keywin - non-centering float, multiple axle lengths, ability to change the resistance to float, huge platform, no maintenance requirements, cleats last forever.

Exactly! And stupidly light at 169g for the pair, 245g including cleats (Carbon Titanium version). I've had zero issues with mine, even with my 85kg.

I don't understand the lack of love for Keywins here in WW.

Are we sure, they aren't using faveros tech in the Pedals? The pods look definitely similar. Even down to the LEDs and charger. Not that I would be complaining, since the faveros have been working perfectly for me.

Funny that they don’t mention setting the correct crank length in that instruction manual.

They were much more popular ages ago, especially with the fact that you could find any spare part to rebuild if needed.

Does anyone know what the inside of an Assioma pod looks like?

THe internal pics are confidential on https://fccid.io/2ATKD-ASSIOMA/Internal ... os-4371191. I don't think they're exactly the same becuase the charger is slightly different and there's a chunk missing from the wahoo pods
