Should be able to try a Gelu and want to see if anyone have experience with their saddles to share. The saddle atop my Berk combo currently is a Lukna, which they say is similar to the Lupina's shape; anyone found a Gelu saddle comfortable enough coming off either of these? The Gelus are mostly 125mm wide, does that feel like a big difference? The variety of saddle shapes they have makes it difficult to tell which might be a good fit, opinions will be appreciated!

Saddles are very personal but coming from tune and selle slr saddles I much prefer my gelu s1.
I'm on the second one and with more than 10.000 gravel kilometers on them, I know that one works for me :)

Good to know! The question is where would you be able to try one (UK based)? I can't find anywhere.

As mentioned, I agree that they're very personal and ideally would like to give it a go before investing

I'm in Portugal so it was possible to try one before investing...

You can send an emailto Anghel and discuss with him what are saddles that work best for you and he then will suggest you one of his saddles based on your personal preference.

I have 4 Gelu saddles and i fit best with the K shape. I used to ride with speedneedle, Berk Hlod and Lupina before.

Oh! And sometimes I strap a bikepacking 11L bag to it for some days on the road and no stress on the rails. Where're talking about a 65gr saddle... ;)

stay away from the lightest one. not robust and can crack fairly easily.

Is that a common view on the lightest one? That was the one that interested me 🤦

the heavier gelu ones are ok, meaning 60 grams and above. my 37 gram one did not last long.

Were you able to send it back to Gelu for a warranty repair? Assuming it was covered

no it was difficult just to communicate with them so i did not bother. i basically hit a small bump and it cracked.

The other heavier gelul saddles are good though. Another thing about The 37 gram saddle is that is it standard round rails and super narrow and a short saddle. This saddle is more suited for a flat time trial
