For past several years I have been using Giordana Silverline Bibshorts and in general I like them.
But recently it seems the pad compresses too easily and does not provide much cushion.
Looking for suggestions on bibshorts with a higgher density pad.

Thanks

Top of the line Santini bibs have the cushiest pad I've seen, I've audaxed in them, you almost hover over the saddle.

By far, the best chamois are made by Elastic Interface, an Italian brand that wholesales to cycle clothing manufacturers. After having tried many top brands on the market, a desperate google search for an endurance bib turned up a small Colorado based company called Pactimo. They use Elastic Interface chamois exclusively across their line, with the top chamois in their 12-hour bib.

I promise you that after riding with this bib, you will never buy another brand! Unfortunately, you just missed their 50% off sale that they run every November. However, they will likely have another early Spring sale soon with similar discounts.

Most of Pactimo's kit is of excellent quality. However I find that their gloves and shoe covers aren't feature rich enough, so I stick with Castelli in this area.

EDIT: This is the link to Elastic Interface. You can find other companies who use their chamois is buying from the US is an issue. With that said, Pactimo quality is excellent! I'm still riding on the first 12-hour bib I bought 4 seasons ago.

You can try Redwhite at https://www.redwhite.cc/, a local brand for me. It is marketed as long-distance bibs and have a ton of reviews over the years from people doing crazy distances on them, at a very reasonable price too!

Sportful total Comfort?
I do some bikepacking on a full carbon saddle and at the end of the day, my bum is the least of the problems with these bibs.

I haven't tried Assos, but they also use Elastic Interface chamois. Fundamentally, with the same chamois that Pactimo uses, it would come down to the quality of bib materials and assembly.

I have the Rapha core shorts and I like their pad - seems firm but not too bulky.
I'm left handed, if that matters.

I bought a pair of these Sportful Total Comfort bibs this past year and they are super comfy. The pad is much wider than other manufaturers (I've read reviews commenting on a hippopotamus sized pad). The pad is dense under your tuchus while the edges of the pad are thin and dissapear into lycra as opposed to an abrupt change from the pad into the fabric. So the pad doesnt end between the thighs but bends and wraps around the legs which alliviates any chafing there. Kind of hard to explain but it works. Ive attached a pic for reference.

I've not yet owned Assos, Pactimo, Santini or Girodano so I can't really compare but the pad is advertised to have 18mm of cushion.

Le Col Pro bib shorts. Pad is so thick it almost feels like a wedgie, but it's tremendously supportive and comfortable too, like a much more padded seat. If you are looking for a high density pad this is a good choice.

Have got quite a few pairs a Pactimo bib shorts, including the 12 hour one mentioned above, and I do like them. But I have now bought two pairs of La Passione bibs which I prefer. They also utilise Elastic Interface chamois, but they use a different version which I personally find more confortable (I think Pactimo use the same chamois on their Strike bibs).
If you wait La Passione have discount deals on every so often too.

Pactimo does look intersting to me, but kind of high price.
I think LaPassione looks like a better value and seems to have a very good chamois.
I was concerend about ordering from Italy but shipping is free and returns only $10.
I never heard of this brand and I am thinking these smaller companies probably offer a better value than the well know large ones like Assos, Castelli and Giordana who use their name brand which you end up paying a price for.
I am considering the PSN or Minimal, with the latter having me wondering if being Minimal they won't last as long.
Also wondering about sizing, going by their chart I am definitely a small, but I normally wear a medium in other European brands like Giordana and Castelli.
Also I ordering one of these chamois pads and I am going to try and sew into some Castelli bibs that I have hardly worn and have a terrible pad:

Pactimo at regular price is very close to all the other major brands. The difference is Pactimo has deep discount sales quite often. Join their mailing list and you'll be notified when they occur, another one should be happening soon. Like I said, you just missed a big one, unfortunately. That's when I normally order a new set of bibs for the following warm weather riding season.
