New project name: Cannondal six13 5.999kg

I have just made a test setup(with heavy tires) with my new Zipp 303 rearwheel and my calculations point to 6.060 kg so the new goal is within reach when my pedals -30g, my seatpost -25g and my 10 titanium bolts arrive. But that'll probably be the end. All the low hanging fruits(cheaper parts) have been picked.

I even got the wheels for 40$ and 70$, bought as defective but now repaired.

The new wheel is for 11 speed(although I still had to modify it) but can now also take my 11S cassette with the 11T removed(-9g) making it 10Speed

The next steps would be a ring -30g for 110$, a seatpost -55g for 600$ aso.

I just received the Elita One seatpost 125g but cut to 25 cm it's 107g, combined with a new calibrated scale I'm down to 5.998kg and I still can save arond 24g on a zipp 303 I have and maybe 10g with the titanium screws underway.
Not much in WW terms but I'm satisfied with it, especially as this is a budget build at around 1100$ when the surplus has been sold off.

I just received my new frame from Italy, after 18 days of nervousness, before the Italian post, sent it out of the country :-)

Now starts the fight of collecting parts. I have chosen sub 6.8 kg because I want to be qualified to wear the "Normalize My Cannondale" jersey, if I can find one.

PS: Does anyone have the weight of this bottom bracket? I don't want to take it out, just for weighing. :(

Titanium bolts and an Extralite ring at 68 g(-31g) so now 5.959kg

And I still have the Zipp 303 rearwheel which is 24 g lighter but I prefer the look of the present one

Great work. I had a Six 13 but it was too big and I had to sell it.

Does the carbon weave on the top tube wave around or is that effect cosmetic?

The weave isn't totally straight just at that point but it's only noticeable in a flash photo

I remember mine was the same there - at least it makes them look more 'hand made'! :D
I'm not sure though, does the section of the top tube change slightly there, which causes the carbon layup to not be perfectly straight?

No. I think it's just a sign of unripe early carbonproducion methods. :-)

Haha - yes you're probably right!
Nice bike you've got there anyway - I really like mine, but it went back under warranty for the corrosion under clearcoat issue & replaced by a System Six.

There is a slight bit of corrosion under my paint but I have poured some aluminium anticorrosion fluid where there was a tiny crack and I keep it in my livingroom anyway, so I don't think it will be a problem.

I ike the look of it, the low weight was just a thing to be able to ride that jersey, but I got caught in it but I'm finished now, unless I get a really good bargain on more lightweight stuff, the next components are way too expensive new.

I think sub 6kg is pretty good going anyway, but the main thing is how it rides - and from what I remember, was one of the nicest bikes I've had!

I have 7 bikes, so I don't use it much but I'm looking for a hillclimb somewhere where it will be the first choice.

I think this is it. 5.86kg after a new saddle and a set of July21 brakes. From now on it get's too expensive and going lower, I really should have started with a lighter frame.
In the mean time I got myself a Bianchi Mercatone Uno, Pantani that weighs close to the double but it's so beautiful.

Hmmm. I installed a set of Tune Skyline wheels 881 g and a SRAM XG-1190 cassette 148g, with the 11T removed and saved almost 400 g BUT I have been thinking it weighed 5.59 kg but I remembered wrong!. It weighed 5.95kg, so now I'm only down to 5.50 kg and not the expected 5.1 kg  but I'm NOT removing the paint!
