A question for the mechanics.
I've got a right side Campagnolo Ergopower 10s with the thumb button that go down but without the usual "click" of each position and the shifter doesn't hold the position.
Is it a problem of the G spring? or the return spring?
I never tried to open a shifter but with the tutorial videos I might give it a try.

Ergopower are easy to take apart, I think the tricky part is the last spring under tension. I think it took me a few tries, I don't remeber stressing about it so that is easy in my mind...

The video helped !! I think the hard part might be getting the gsprings.. I think campy stopped selling the small parts and started selling the body minus the brake blade for ~ 70USD? but that was pre covid pricing .... that said I think the g springs were easy to find... the 10 speed index gear was the impossible to find part.

You might (also) need a new "mouse ear", i.e., the button itself.

Check the stack is tight before doing anything. If anything is loose then it can create the click to stop. If it's all right and still doesn't work then investigate things wearing out.

Also check the wire end isn't fouling anything. Sometimes the cable end can seat too proud and the extra projection can mess with shifts too. Easy to check !
