I mean, the filante replaces the Cento 10 pro looks like, which has been launched in 2018, it's been more than 2 years now. They seem to be on a schedule of alternatingly updating between the two ranges Zero and Cento/Filante every other year. You can probably expect the replacement of the Zero SLR in 2021...

Besides that it looks like the range is much clearer than it use to be. Once they have finished the renaming / launching of new models, you should have something like:

- Zero SLR // Zero SL // (yet to be launched Zero-NDR?)

- FilanteSLR|Cento10pro // FilanteSL|Cento10SL // filanteNDR|Cento10NDR

1. seat tube cut out (or just deeper?)
2. no hump near top tube X seat tube junction
3. slightly different fork to head tube transition
4 .rear triangle tubes look slimmer, might be lighter frame
5. no routing plate on the down tube

I used this pic of Cento10 Pro for comparison:

Biggest question for me, does it come in the ramato colorway? That's my all time favorite paint scheme on any bike.

I would have sold a kidney to get a rim brake version of the Zero SLR but it looks like that'll not be happening. Can't see how any of the Cento range is a real improvement over my Cento 1SR so I guess I'll just be waiting a while longer.

And mechanical. Cable routing on the Zero SLR allows electronic shifting only and disc only... that sucks

They wouldn't miss an opportunity to charge $1500 more for a different color.

People want fully integrated bikes. That means disc brakes and electronic shifting.

And besides getting to consume and buy new stuff is there any reason to want any of the new disc&electronic only frames? Peak aero to weight and peak lightweight frames are still pretty much rim brakes and allow for mechanical shifting.

i think for those who is confused about wilier line up. just dont look at the cento line as parallel model but one supersedes another (apart from NDR model).

so we only have
Climbing - Zero SLR (and SL for cheaper alternative)
Race/Aero - fliante (cento line is still on sale, just like cento 1 air was on sale for quite number of years after they released newer models)
endurance - cento10 NDR.
Some say pour 10ml water out of your bottle to save that last bit of the weight. Sorry, i go one step further, i tend to the rider off my bikes.
n+1...14 last time i checked, but i lost count

Looks like the biggest difference versus the Cento has been the redesign of the fork and seatstays, and the new shape of the tubes

Image

“We still use NACA airfoils… but unlike previous frames, this cut was softened. It doesn’t have the sharp edges of the Cento10Pro. The design is much more rounded. This is a great help in the real world because the boundary layer – the wind particles closest to the frame – adhere more to the profile than on the Cento10Pro. As we change the yaw angle, the frame maintains its good aerodynamic characteristics.”

Wilier tested the Filante SLR at yaw angles from +20° to -20° yaw and says that the new design results in ‘significant’ aero improvements in real world situations, although it doesn’t offer any figures comparing the new bike with the Cento10Pro or rivals from other brands.

Wilier has used wide fork legs on previous models as a means of reducing turbulence and thereby improving the overall aero performance, and it has gone further than ever on its new bike.

I don't really get this bike. Merging aero and light weight, okay. But this seems very close to the Zero. Also, not the most eye pleasing.

I don't think it's merging Aero with lightweight, it's just the new aero Wilier, claimed to be an evolution of the cento and more aero than the Cento.

I like the fact that they are making an aero frame that doesn't need to be beefy/ugly to make sure everyone know it's aero.

It's good looking, claimed to be very stiff, aero, lightweight. Not much to dislike about for me
