Any ideas or opinions on these? Anyone tried them?

It seems to good to be true, and I don't have the cash to just try it and take the loss if it's crap.
I posted your note on a Spanish forum; found someone who got them a few days ago. Will let you know it goes buddy.

Those Ali EEs do have good reviews and photos on a scale. But they are the same weight and price as July21 brakes(200g), which are sold in Germany. So you have all the EU internet rules when buying online.
I have the July20F at 240g and 57 euro and they look good and work, although I only have around 10 km on them. The July20Fs are probably the best weight/price deal you can find.

PS: I have just inqiured if the July20 weight of 200g include the brakepads shown. If yes, they are a tad below the EEs in weight(shown without pads)at appr. 180 g.
Cannondale Super Six HiMod 2017 6.7 kg
Cannondale six13, 2004, 5.50kg
Focus Izalco Max, 2023 4.418 kg

July 20s and July 21s are just rebranded Fouriers brakes, and the claimed 200 g is w/o pads. Their performance is no where near genuine EEs, but no idea on the Ali EE copies

I’ve been on the lookout for some EE direct mount for myself, looks like these El Asesino are in stock at Merlin Cycles (UK) with a hefty 1% discount if none elsewhere

If you need DM, I recently got Bontrager Speed Stop Pro; 95 grams / $99 new on eBay.

Stopping performance is supposed to be on par with ee (as the are a knock offs), but haven't tried yet.

Can you tell me if Bontrager (direct mount), clears a 28mm rim? I'm looking for a cheaper EE alternative but I always bump against a limit of 25mm rims for all the other options around.

My Campy Record DM won't fit a 28mm rim unfortunately.

Sure. Should have it with me in about 10 days; frame is currently being painted. I ll try to ask ahead to the mechanic that will do the build; not sure he ll be able to say without mounting on a frame, but will give it a try.

Having said that - I would be optimistic

Bontrager Aeolus XXX wheels

"The wheels have a whopping 21mm internal-rim width and 27mm or 28mm external brake-track widths"

Confirmed; looks like enough space for 28 mm. Also, mounting specs indicate how to place washers depending on rim width - and it includes up to 27 mm.
