I've got two pairs of the 901s in 43w and they fit beautifully. Like wearing slippers.
So comfortable.
A pair of 902s again 43w arrived last week and my feet feel like they are in a vice. Been using them on the indoor trainer to try and stretch them but not helping so far.
Cannot believe the difference in fit. Measured the width with digital callipers and they are definitely not the same as the 901s.
Very disappointed so far.

The size difference between 901 and 902 has been reported since the release of the new shoes. For example, in cyclingtips: https://cyclingtips.com/2020/10/shimano ... h-success/KCookie wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 2:03 amI've got two pairs of the 901s in 43w and they fit beautifully. Im not enjoying my 902s at all. I'm only using them on the indoor trainer to see if they hopefully give a little but so far no joy.jadedaid wrote:Would like to hear from those who had the 901s and then went for the 902s. I definitely feel like the 901s gave a little bit over time.
Been very happy with the 901s but this has me looking elsewhere :/
Soon as i put them on i can feel how tight they are compared to the 901s.
My 901s are so comfortable. Luckily i managed to buy a very lightly used pair a few weeks ago. I have 3 pairs now and will keep buying them when available as I would never buy another pair of 902s.

Love 'em for my narrow feet. Finally S-Phyres that don't bunch up at the toebox. Wish the heels/ankle padding was as comfy as my Giros, but it's not something I notice after a few minutes of riding. The low stack height does seem to leave you feeling more "connected" to the pedals.
On Tobins raving reveiw, I've just switched over to DA pedals from Look, and matched with the 902s, they are quite frankly a match made in heaven.

Anyone able to compare them to the rc701 in terms of fit?
The latter is so comfy for me, but the sole is noticeable less stiff compared to a top end race shoe and foot retention is not as good. Only really use them for chilled out rides now.
Wish they made a 902 type shoe in terms of sole/heel cup/foot retention, with a bit more of a 701 shape profile for us with less skinny feet!!
