Numbers would be most helpful.

I have 105/108mm wide feet and fear they would be awful for me.

Ok. Mine are 94mm/93mm. Size is 43.5.

Thanks mate.

Think I would find them too narrow then.

I have 108 and 110, 278...280 length (one is slightly larger), tried 901 in 45 wide. Length was ok, race fit. The actual carbon was something like 95mm wide. Larger foot felt like in a torture device, would need to chop off the little finger and its metatarsal to fit properly. I get along fine with a lake 402 in 45 wide or bont wide 44.5/45 (44.5 as race fit with extra thin socks)

People who are loving them.

How wide are your feet?
I wonder if 902 are any wider than 901? I have wide feet and tried a wide version 901, it was a total joke. Narrower than their previous top level model R321 in normal.
Guess what? The 902 wide is just 1mm wider than the regular fit. For those who need Lake wide or Bont wide, forget Shimano current gen.

1mm. It is higher volume. That's mad.

Got a pair today but think I will be returning them.

Quite restrictive on my little toe but strangely also have to deform them a lot to get tight enough. Heel retention also not as good as S-Works.

Heel retention is much better than S-Works 7. I actually struggle to get the Shimano's off, whereas I can get my 7's off with ease.

Probably just not the shoe for you.

Both size 46. Very different to the above comparison, and hence why I believe the Shimanos have a better heel retention.

So is the consensus to stick with the same size as previous Sphyre verions?

Also using a thinner innersole makes a massive difference.
I was finding mine a bit tight with a Specialized innersole, switched to an Icebug Slim which is half the thickness and feels like I went up a size in width.
I have a friend who is a very keen cyclist and a podiatrist and he uses Specialized innersoles but he's cut the toe area off and smoothed the transition so that he has given his toes more room.
