Thanks for the advice mate. The sleeve is definitely in. What was missing was the dust covers. I bought the bb from a online retailer. Here is Germany LBS are closed. It came everything but the dustcovers (or the mechanic who installed the bb lost them). Ceramicspeed sent me the kit that include the dust covers and I will try to install them tomorrow. As the preload adjuster is broken I am getting a knew one. I've saw a video where the cane creek preload adjuster need the thread to be glued instead of the original plastic thread and I am not taking that risk.

The BB is DUB BSA 68 and the spindle has the DUB letters script too.
Rgr That, just make sure the final assembly, the internal measures 29.88mm not 30 mm

When we're talking about a sleeve to reduce the bearing ID from 30mm to ~29mm, it doesn't mean the sleeve you have sitting between the two bearings.
The dust covers, or bearing shields, that you will shortly receive, should have these sleeves incorporated into themselves. This means the shields will have a protruding part that is pressed into the bearing to reduce the ID.

The slop you had with the crank was due to the bearing ID being 30mm when your axle is 28.99.
With the correct bearing shields with the appropriate reducer, your cranks will play nice and the spacing issues should be corrected.

Anyone know where you can buy those? I've got them from Aliexpress for 6805 bearings and Shimano cranks for cheap (25>24mm) but was unable to find them for 6806 bearings and DUB cranks (30>29mm).

I now use the custom Enduro 6806/29 bearings for this application, but would prefer to just use SKF/NTN 6806 with similar spacer. Better bearings and less axle wear.

Note: They break once you touch them, so if a few sets in reserve would be nice to have.

bbinfinite has it.

The sleeve include 3mm protuding width on the right side and about 1mm on the left side. So you shouldn't have to add spacers from the width of bb386's width. However, if your bb width is narrower than regular bb386bb, calculate your own spacers stack carefully.

Edit: remove information I'm not 100% sure about. Better not say anything that has 5% chance to be wrong.

bbinfinite has it. Select the road version, not bb30 road. Because BBinfinite's bb30 module use 40mm diameter OD bearing rather than normal 42mm.
So, the road one fit normal 6806 bearing while bb30 road version is not.

Yes sir! They are coming tomorrow hopefully that will sort out things. In the meantime, I've instaled a D-Fly unit and I know is a WW forum :P, but I kinda wanted to have it.

Thanks. Their size guide is massively confusing to say the least.

I've got a Wheels MFG BSA 68mm bottom bracket with 6806 bearing. On the NDS I've got the preload adjuster and on the DS I guess 2-3mm in spacers. BB30 Road sounds like the most plausible option, if they just simply wrote down their measurements it would be helluva lot easier.

Hi guys,

Thank everyone who replied and tried to help me, you put me in the right direction.

I've sorted out the play and fits like a glove as the way it should be. The final configuration was: Installing the dustcovers and with that, the spindle fits perfectly. 1mm NDS between the preload ring and the bb. 4 mm DS (3 could have been sufficient, but to my eyes, the inner ring was dangerously close to the frame. I didn't even need that much torque in the preload ring.

The next step is deciding about wheels. So far the bike is 7.4 Kg. I need to chop off the excess of the steerer, shave 1/2 kg on the wheels. I am expecting a final weight of 6.7 - 6.8 Kg.

This item code still seems to be the "light" version?
00.3018.291.170 (or ends with 172 / 175 depending on crankarm length)
From europe webshops, the lighter one is : 00.3018.266.XXX
This is correct. Here is a second set I got last week in the US.
Hi all, I need this D1 version Quarq, do you where in the US that I can get one. 165/170mm length.
thank you

What is the downside of using the red axs arms.. except for them being labeled as "red" vs "quarq"?
