You should be in the ballpark. If you want to save weight, and you have a disc brake bike that works well with the 45mm chainline, the Sigeyi power meter will save you 55-60 grams over the Dfour.ichobi wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 12:30 pmSo technically speaking, if one were to shave as much weight from the 9270 chainset (or change it entirely) and add a powermeter, it'd look like this?
1. SRAM Red or Quarq arms / DUB
2. Quarq D4 spider pm / DUB
3. Your DUB bb of choice
4. Your choice of chainrings - so far we have candidates from Carbon-Ti, Rotor, Praxis etc.
With, say a 52-36 chainring combos, what kind of weight are we looking with this set up? 600ish? I suppose they can't be as low as Red AXS with Quarq Red chainring pm right?
I am thinking of moving away from my current SRAM Red AXS Setup to a new Dura-Ace. If the above combination proves quite WW, I then could basically keep my red arms and dub bb, and sell of the RED powermeter rings, then just buy the new quarq spider pm and chainring of choice.
I just put together the following using 9100 compact 50/34 rings
Red DUB Cranks ~320g (165mm, sanded to bare carbon)
Sigeyi AXO AXS 4-110 ~106g
DA 50T ~98g
DA 34T ~27g
Shimano Chainring bolts ~5g
Total 556g (plus another 78 for the BB Infinite Dub BSA BB)
Unfortunately I had to swap the Sigeyi for a Dfour yesterday which brought me up to 614g . The Dfour maintains the 43.5mm chainline I need for my rim bike, so the AXO must go unless I save it for a disc build.

Semi interested. Only if I can get R9200 or R8100 chainring in 50/34.JaeOne3345 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 7:40 amSigeyi got back to me and confirmed all of their 8 bolt AXS pattern units are 45mm chainline. Gonna put the Sigeyi up for sale if anyone is interested in one that is 4-110.
I'm no longer own any Shimano 4 bolt rings and since I'll buy one, I might as well get the 12s rings which sit closer together than 11s generations.

I understand. I have been looking to see which of the aftermarket rings are actually designed that way for 9200/8100 instead of just claiming they are "12s compatible" because they "work well enough."
I have a Quarq GXP crank with Dzero spider at the moment.
Quarq GXP 172,5mm crank is 453g,
Dzero spider 121g
Would the new SRAM RED eTap AXS GXP crank fit the Dzero spider, or would that offset as well like the DUB ones mentioned here?
New RED GXP one is 393g per R2bike scale, so it would save me around 60g.

This is great news running into this thread. So you're running 12-speed Dura Ace but with the "11-speed 9100 chain rings"? I am looking to buy the Quarq PM which isn't compatible (yet) with the 9200 rings but if I can run 9100 rings that would be perfect.stevec1975 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 10:50 amThe 9200 Rings do not fit the existing Quard DFour 91/DFour spider, the rings have a different bolt circle spacing.
I am running the 9100 rings on my 9200 setup, there is no noticeable difference between the rings. Not tried Carbon-TI to see how it measures up

Yes and Yes, and a slight update to the above, you can also run 9200 rings, aesthetically it’s not perfect but they fit, and will work. However the 9100 work perfectly with 9200 anyway so no reason not to use them

This is the exact same setup I am looking at now for my new bike build (but using 52/36 instead of 50/34). Two questions:stevec1975 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 4:47 pmSo, semi- Quick question.
I have a Quarq Dfour 91 Powermeter (with the 8 bolt spider) attached to Quarq branded crankarms (Logo's sanded off) using a GXP Spindle. This lot weighs 724.8g with DA 9100 50/34 chainrings
If I was able to source Quarq/Red D1 DUB Arms, could I use my old spider (that has the same interface) and just upgrade to a DUB BB (I have a BBRight system on my Cervelo) and it would all work? What would the potential weight savings be? I have seen examples in the low 600's so a fair amount of weight to save for just a crank arm swap (if I can find any in a 170/172.5 Length)
1.Just to confirm, I can use these SRAM Red dub cranks: https://r2-bike.com/SRAM-RED-eTap-AXS-D ... -Interface combined with this Quarq Dfour PM: https://r2-bike.com/SRAM-Quarq-Power-Me ... S-Spider_1 with DA 52/36 chainrings. Right?
2. My mechanic is proposing a Wheels Manufacturing BB, which is a "screw in, outboard" option. I see you're using a Ceramic Speed BBright dub BB (pressfit) which would be my preference as well (got a Caledonia-5). Do you experience any creaking? That's the main argument from my mechanic that the CS (or C-bear) could cause more creaking. But got a C-bear on my other bike and it's been brilliant. Weight difference is substantial. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Ps. Been looking at your Cervelo bike build. Amazing!!

On 1, Yep
2, Not had any creaking from the CS BB since I fitted it (nor the Cbear BB in GXP form) prior to that (in over 5K miles), I would definitely go for CS or CB if you can.
Thanks for the kind comments on my S3, finally got it to where I want it!

Awesome. Thanks for responding. Might steal a few more of your ideas on the buildstevec1975 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 10:54 pmOn 1, Yep

Red 22 BB30 crankarms at 170mm with the 110BCD integrated carbon spider is 360g. Red DUB is 330g for crankarms and you'd need to add in a spider like the Stone (54g). The benefit is that you can run a spider based PM with the DUB crankarms.
