Hi,
I am in the process of re-building a not-so old carbon bike: is there any magic to avoid scratches on a new carbon seatpost?
I will make adjustments and experiments about sadlle height and positioning in general, so i plan to move the seatpost up and down a lot.
Should I go dry, or with carbon paste or simply there's no hope of avoiding scratches?

just use an old aluminium seatpost for those adjustments and then put the fancy carbon one when you are sure about the fit.

Motorex carbon assembly grease is non abrasive so it will not scratch the finish like other assembly compunds. Hvaing said that moving the post in the frame could scratch in which case using a test post would solve the problem.
