I just put in my order for an Ostro VAM, SRAM Red, 45mm wheelset.
Question - are the brakes hydraulic or mechanical? just occurred to me that I don't know, and I can't find the answer.

Man this is going to be a shock for me, learning how to build and maintain. Going from rim brakes --> hydraulic disc.ccie6872 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:24 pmhydraulicinertianinja wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:10 pmI just put in my order for an Ostro VAM, SRAM Red, 45mm wheelset.

I'm going through this now. Collecting parts and will be building a hyd bike for the first time. I expect there will be moments I need to stop and order tools because my new kits dont include some random fitting/part!inertianinja wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 7:13 pm

What’s the current weight of the Ostro seatpost in comparison? Curious how much weight will be shaved off.

Is it me or is the Ostro's black inc handlebar's clamp area (the abrasive area) too low for typical hood positions?
I clamped it at the highest point with the new 12 speed shifters and it's still super tilted down. Anyone knows if it's safe clamping it above that abrasive region?

I now have the Darimo zero setback seatpost installed.
104g, so an 80g saving.
All good so far, video review out tomorrow.
