Most likely, yes, if they're using that cockpit, the frame just isn't aggressive enough for them.

An example: Harry Sweeny is 186 cm with a long torso and short legs. His team bike is a Supersix, which has an incredibly relaxed geometry for a race bike. In order to get the contact points where he needs them to be, he has to ride a size 54 with a 150 mm 17 deg slammed stem.

What I can't really understand is why Scott won't sell the Syncros cockpit sizes made for the pro teams like e.g. 360x150...
Who's running 36x150?? I'd be keen to see that!
I can't imagine this not having a serious detriment to handling, due to the front axle being very rearward relative to both the rider's center of mass and their hands. Is it because the handlebar would be too high with a longer reach frame and shorter stem? I think I'd be working out a different method to get my handlebar where I want it.
I'm open for ideas. But going for the largest frame and still needing a very long stem to get the needed reach I don't see any other options.

I think bike handling is more robust than people give it credit for.

Shift your hands 2cm forward on the hoods. Bike still handles fine (at least mine does).
I did the same simulation with the same finding. I also was first concerned about getting into trouble.

For those who have an integrated cockpit with a 1 1/8 steerer diameter ( or as stem as well I guess). Do you have any long term reviews of the shim solution you are using? Looking to get a farsports or black inc bar but I’m still not completely sure about the shim.

Excited to see it. I’m assuming it will be exclusively for escape collective members?

Have an ODD question. For those with the 2023 Foil RC did the complete bike come with a rear skewer that had the removable "handle" tool? I bought a complete 2023 Foil RC 20 (Rival build) and it did not. I also find engagement with regular key difficult. Like complicated to find the right spot! :)

Yes, mine certainly did. Pretty much standard on the Scott RC road bikes (my Addict has one too).

Nope, none of the Foils come with the removable lever, at least not in Aus/NZ.
You can get it as a spare part though, same as all the other Scott road bikes.

mine purchased Aug 2023 didn't come with the lever. I bought one from the shop, but the hex portion isn't long enough to engage when you first put the thru axle in. My answer was to buy a hex key that has better proportions

Hello boyz,

I'm riding a team DSM scott foil at 7.0 kg with pedals, bottles cages, computer mount. Full dura ace with farsport/wheelsfar 50mm height (carbon spokes, 1230gr, 24int/30ext and gp 5000 S TR 28").

I'm waiting an Hylix seatpost from ebay to drop maybe 40gr instead of the duncan SL aero and a so good clamp saddle

I want to drop more weight, do you consider to change the dura-ace cranks from some carbon stuff ? I don't know brands for that.

The bike is already pretty stiff, confort is ok with the good pressure (i'm 63kg), i'm affraid if i'm going to carbon cranks it will be too much stiff like a piece of wood, what's your advise for that ? How much weight can be save with that kind of stuff ? 200 gr seems a lot ?

Cheers for all boyz :beerchug:

hey folks, just trying my luck here, anyone has a copy of the Scott Foil Disc 2021 MANUAL? the one where they used the same frame as before but just with internal cabling (not to be confused with the new 2023 foil)
