Gotta hand it to Fizik. Ordered this from their website Monday afternoon, and it shows up Thursday afternoon all the way from Italy . Shipping was free. No customs or duty fees. $249 was that total outlay to get it to my door!

Claimed weight was 215 grams. Measured weight... you guessed it, 215gr.

This is my latest weapon in a year-old battle with some strange saddle sores. They're not abraded skin or infected follicles. They're splits in the skin right where the crotch meets the thigh... just as if they were cut with a knife. Can't find anything online about them. Went to one dr. who just :noidea:. So, after 8 different saddles, 5 different bibshorts, more adjustments to the bike than I can count, I saw this and said "what the hell!" Look for two Pro Stealths in the For Sale section  .

Gotta wait a least until Tuesday or Wednesday of next week for the latest split to heal, but then I'll give her a go! Whatya think?

No way! Finally they got it straight with black! Now I can buy one too without having to swallow that horrible puke-green

It’s about time it came in black. I am disappointed with the plastic seat base. Fizik should have use the carbon seat base from their 00 versus line. While the top adaptive 3D seat seems nice, the bottom base and carbon rail attachment looks and feels really cheap like from a saddle costing less than $100.

I haven’t tried mine out yet. Waiting for my Factor LS to arrive.

The flagship Antares Versus Evo 00 Adapative is still only available in green. The slightly heavier Antares Versus Evo R1 and R3 Adaptive saddles are available in black.

I am still waiting for the 00 to come in black.

It's all downhill from here, except for the uphills.

Mine arrived a few days ago and I rode it for the first time today. It's easily the most comfortable saddle I've used. Before this I was using a Berk Lupina which was great at first but the width where it tapers would get uncomfortable after a while.

I plan to put in a few longer rides in the next week and if I still feel the same after 4 hours in the saddle I'll order another one for my other bike.

My only concern with a saddle like this would be how it looks after a year, full of sweat and stuff

You would think that Fizik would put the flagship 00 in black...and mint green for the R1 and R3.

Why did they change the dimensions? Didn’t they use to be 142/152 and now these are 139/149, why?

Nah at first it was only available in green, so people were forced to buy that.
Then, they released if in black, but not the versus Evo one, so people bought the R1 version and swallowed a bit of extra weight.
Then, they released (speaking from the future here) the versus Evo in black, so people bought that to upgrade their R1s.

It's brilliant.

Yeah...probably to see how tolerant riders were with the 3D printed saddle in green. Demand was probably high...so after they sold enough of those, they made the black ones and sold more.

For those of you disappointed in the green, I can assure you they turn black over time . . .

Is the saddle "grippy" on one's shorts? I.e., I have a tendency to slide forward and back on my saddle depending on if I'm climbing, on a flat, or getting low and aero. Does the printed material allow for sliding around or is it somewhat sticky/grippy?

I sure do wish for an Arione VS 00 adaptive in black. Apparently the Antares is their bread and butter.
