Selle Italia Carbonio SLR Boost Superflow L3 (quite a mouthful). A mega heavy 122g, but it's much more complaint than a Berk Lupina, which I love too.
The padded Lupina is not really padded, it's more of a layer of leather. The Selle Italia really has proper padding.
Cervelo P5 Disc (2021) 9.1kg
Factor Ostro Gravel (2023) 8.0kg
S-Works SL8 (2023) 6.3kg

*weights are race ready, size 58/L.
Sold: Venge, S5 Disc, Roubaix Team, Open WI.DE, Émonda, Shiv TT, Crux, Aethos, SL7

Looks like you'll have to compromise. Either you see part of the top cap shelf under the spacers or you see the top of the spacer under the stem. Is it only right under the front of the stem? That area is less visible than seeing the top of the topcap.

If you want thinner spacers, Whisky Parts carbon spacers are thinner and lighter than typical and come in both gloss and matte. I use these under 3D printed spacers for strength.
Do you know if the Whiskey Parts spacers are the same diameter as the s-works stem? I have to agree the diameter of the spacers provided on my Aethos Pro are
to wide for the stem, I'd also like to find something with the same diameter. Please let me know if either the ceramic speed or Whiskey are the answer, or if there is another brand anyone has found with the same diameter.
Thanks!

Probably switching back to the Tune one I have, despite it being 4g heavier.
Yeah. Mine lasted maybe a month or two. I ride on crappy, pot-ridden roads so take that as a precaution if you have similar rough roads. The seat post clamp didn’t stand a chance!

I’m currently using this Tune double-band carbon clamp. Not sure if Tune makes this anymore.

Paint stripping an Aethos S-Works, how bad of an idea? Found an acceptable deal, but don't like the color, bare carbon with maybe a touch of clearcoat sounds more like it. Anyone done this yet (didn't keep up with the build thread galleries as of late)? Aethos will probably retain the resale value for a while, similar to R5Ca, but what you'd expect for a custom-painted one?

Question for Aethos folks....

Regarding the front brake caliper...I'v read through as much as I could, but only found bits and pieces on using 140mm or 160mm rotors.
If using 140mm rotors...no adapter is necessary, from what I gathered.
If using 160mm rotors...a Specialized custom adapter is required.

Is that correct? Or am I missing something. TIA

The bike comes with a proprietary adapter plate for the front fork. Spacing is for a 160mm disc. For the rear, the caliper mounts directly to the chainstay. Spacing is for a 140mm disc. I think you could use a standard Shimano/SRAM adapter plate for the rear if you want 160mm on both ends.

thx!

Can you affix a 140mm without the adapter?

Looks super dope! Great saddle choice ✌🏻

Re seatclamp: I can get a Darimo Sub4, any experience on that? I have seen the one of ROJ snap when tightening it, but his new one seemed to work.

Ii think you can ask Darimo to beef up the clamp for a bit more torque force. Carbon Ti makes one that is fairly light.
