I have a couple small rectangles of helicopter tape on the side of the headtube to prevent any cable rub to the paint. The brake hose tool, barbs and olives just arrived this weekend to shorten and bleed the 30ft long brake hose.

Do you have a picture of the "Cali-crossing"? I have them hooked up "Euro" at the moment with the front brake on the right like a motorcycle.

There's a pretty good diagram in the frameset manual: https://support.specialized.com/home/ae ... ce/manuals

Not to be nitpicking, but front brake lever on the right moto-style has nothing to do with Europe (where it's on the left), just with the UK (Brexit disqualifies the "Euro" epithet) :)

Another frame weight data point for those interested. Size 54 frame, Sagan Disruption Collection Pro Fact 10R, Casablanca/Ginko color. In person, its a pearlescent cream with some sparkle, and rose gold lettering and accents. Built for gran fondos. I think I might have the only Aethos with 105 on it, but that was the only groupset in stock anywhere.

Frame - 827.5 grams with bolts and hangers
Total build - 16 lbs as pictured below

Alpinist SL Cockpit 100 x 400
S-Works Power Saddle
Supacaz Super Sticky Kush Galaxy Bar Tape
Shimano 105 group, 50/34 172.5 crank
Dura-Ace 9100 Polymer-coated cable set
Dura-Ace SM-RT900 Rotors 160f/140r
XTR CN-M9100 12s chain
SRoad 11-32 lightweight gold cassette
Roval C38 tubless wheelset DT Swiss 350 hubs
Vittoria Corsa Control G2.0 TLR 30c
Time Xpro 10 pedals
2 x random carbon bottle cages
Thanks for posting this, it's the first time i've seen photos of this frame "in the wild". Initially I wasn't sure about the colour, but it has really grown on me and I may pull the trigger before supply of them dries up.

Just completed my Aethos build with no weight target in mind, for the record the Aethos is 6.5 and the SL6 is 6.2

Opened the wallet for a Pro frame, having found a dealer willing to disassemble the bike for a frame-only sale.
But alas, no frame ports included, as the bike must have been wireless.

Yes, I fell for the advertised "nothing proprietary", but these frame parts are as proprietary as it gets!
So have to wait a few more weeks before the build.

The only proprietary thing is the front caliper adaptor. What are you saying?

6580 gram for my S-Works Di2, 56 bike. With D-A pedals and Arundel Mandible x 2.(Uncut steerer too)

28 mm Turbo Gripton on. Are they 280 grams? Anyone knows? They're maybe a bit too comfy for the bike.

I wasn’t looking to mimic it. Tried to get a chrome-like look, but it’s very hard…
