Can someone tell me if I will be able to put my Campagnolo SR gruppo onto an Aethos frame?
Urgh - sorry to hear about your Pinarello. To answer the question: If it's a mechanical shift set you can fit it to the pro frame but not the sworks version (electronic only). If it's a rim brake set - you cannot mount the calipers, but you could potentially try something like the Juin F1 cable actuated hydraulic disc calipers (https://www.amazon.com/JUIN-TECH-Hydrau ... B085FZBNSW).
With the juin F1 option there is a need for a special dremmeled screw because the aethos front adapter is non standard.

My frame has a carbon layup line running vertically along the top of the top tube. I assumed they were all like that, but I saw another Aethos S-Works today that didn't have a line there, or it was hidden with more paint.
Does anyone know why the layup or paint thickness is not the consistent across all bikes? Both were the same S-Works build from the same year. I suppose some are lighter, if the layup lines are more visible! I don't imagine the layup technique or pattern is different.
Aesthetically, the line along the top tube is not great...

Was it the same size? Different sizes are different in layup to behave the same for everyone. Line on toptube is quite common on Specialized frames with the carbon layup showing.

Because there are different paint schemes. Painting something metallic green for instance isnt the same as clearcoating it black.

Yes, they were the same color ("red gold chameleon bronze") and same size (54)...
One definitely had more paint, as the carbon layup lines were not noticeable. I suppose mine is lighter, as the lines are quite noticeable!

Easier for me to loose some weight……so I just had my Aethos Frame resprayed…..as I found the original colors. It very inspiring. Went a little crazy……but I love it. Image

Whoah that is awesome! Now the big question: how much weight did that paint job add?

What's the verdict here on compatibility between Sram Red AXS front derailleur and the aethos. My LBS who is experienced with Sram (in switzerland so many mechanics prefer shimano) will be doing the setups Has your shift quality been good? Chain drops a problem?

Thanks for your help!
