Yes. Re-use the original screws/backplate. Baffled me as well for my nr 25 hanger (Canyon Ultimate CF SL)

Thanks, will do. Anyway the bolts are not correct size.
Pretty weird they do not supply correct bolts/backplate with the hanger for this price. What if I don´t have original hanger? Would have to buy both Sigeyi and Canyon hangers to make the Sigeyi hanger working. And different length bolts as well.

Something must have hitted/stumbled your hanger/RD. The hanger is clearly twisted.

Are you using 3rd party/aftermarket Ti/alloy derailleur pulleys with sealed bearings? My experiene with those type of pulley's on road and CX bikes is that the lower pulley does not afford near as much lateral play as stock derailleur pulleys, so if something causes the chain to get slightly misaligned such as hitting a bump while somewhat cross chained, the chain can jump and gets snagged in the cage which in turn can cause either the cage and/or the hanger to deform (twist).

its a sigeyi hanger, roughly 8000-9000km on it.
cbear pulleys.
derailleur and cage show no signs of damage.
i dont recall anything out of the ordinary on that ride.

Might have been covered before, but when installing, do you have to disconnect the hanger (mechanical, disc brake) of is it possible to leave the wires attached?
Yes, my DM hanger (not Sigeyi one) was installed with the cable attaching.

Anyone know other manufacturers besides Siyegi and Wheels Manufacturing? I just got a Time Alpe D'Huez rim but can't find a direct mount hanger.
Mine was machined by
Velofrezer, but I had to design a hanger myself.
bro, can you show me some design guidelines ? spacings and what not, I have the means to design one but I have no guidelines to work off of

Did anyone notice that the hanger wipes off the paint/anode on the derailleur?
A bit of a shame that such a small part damages a much more expensive one.

That to me looks a Shimano RD problem. Poor paint job. I'm not sure how the hanger would do that.

It is definitely a hanger. This is what the derailleur looked like out of the box - there was none of that wear and tear.
When the rear wheel is removed, then the derailleur has a greater range of movement and this problem arises.

If you're looking to buy a sigeyi hanger I'd possibly reconsider and if you own one just make sure you check it regularly. I had one snap after about 15,000km of use. Was about 60km into a training ride (no shifting issues) and had it snap while sprinting on a flat, smooth section of road, causing the chain to jump and me to crash (trip to emergency). It doesn't appear to have failed due to the chain twisting or road debris. It has possibly failed due to manufacturer fault that took time to propogate as it as snapped along a thin section. This was one specific to the Ridley Fenix SL. I contacted Sigeyi twice and they opted to not respond.

I recently noticed a bit of play between the hanger and the derailleur exactly in that point. It seems something reported also by others - ie Rhino's hangers if I remember well. I was considering to insert a washer, but shifting is actually flawless.
Can it be related to your issue?
