Stiffness is not strength.

I'm curious about this, is it to enable a larger cassette?
If not, what are the benefits?
No, casette max capacity is same with a Direct mount or regular derailleur hanger.

The direct mount hanger remove the b-link and bolt in Shimano Dura-Ace R9100/Ultegra R8000/105 R7000 rear deraileur. By removing the b-link and bolt it stiffens the connection between the derailleur and hanger. Meaning crispier shifting.

And as noted by other there is a weight saving with the direct mount hanger vs standard hanger+b-link
Is there any danger to the frame? Meaning if RD takes a whack, is it more likely to damage the frame? People say it's stiffer. Surely there is a reason why hangers are usually pliable or potentially prone to failure?
You already got some protection from Shadow profile rear derailleur. It is less protuding outward.
Then if you use di2, there is also crash protection feature that if the rd detect strong push, it'll move all the way in and stay there. You need to reset it out of this mode manually.
With both of these, even if it is stronger (not just stiffer), it is still less likely to cause damage to the frame than traditional RD.

I purchased one a few months ago. Seems very well made and install was easy for my Tarmac SL6 on an Ultegra Di2 derailleur. However, the cassette/chain was noticeably louder. So I put the stock Shimano parts back on. Is there a need for a slightly longer chain or slight adjustment of indexing after install of the Sigeyi hanger? To me it looks like it puts the rear derailleur in a slightly different location than the stock Shimano hanger.

Did you ensure that the direct mount was straight? Upon arrival of mine, it was slightly off. A quick adjustment and I was in business.

Long shot, but any thoughts here on the Cervelo versions compatibility with a 2017 Focus Izalco Max Disc?

Specifically looking at the CVL-TH1 to work with the Robert Axle project thru-axle I'm using to replace the stock RAT offering.

Any replacement hanger is rarer than hens teeth it would seem!
