Can someone explain why these hangers wouldn't work for a SRAM derailleur? For example, doesn't the typical stock hanger that comes with a frame work with Shimano, SRAM and Campy?

^because there is no b-link to be removed from Sram/Campag rd.
Direct Mount RD = normal hanger + b-link together in one unit. Combining them not only save weight. Shadow RD has lower profile and seems to be more robust against crash and hits on the RD, so Direct mount hanger can be made stiffer with less concern of breaking the frame when crash.
Sram and Campagnolo RD don't use b-link in the first place so there is nothing to be integrated.

Actually, 12s Campagnolo has a B-link and I remember some members posting photos with a DM hanger.

yes. i increase 1-2 chain links to make the shifting smootherbrentvelo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 5:39 amI purchased one a few months ago. Seems very well made and install was easy for my Tarmac SL6 on an Ultegra Di2 derailleur. However, the cassette/chain was noticeably louder. So I put the stock Shimano parts back on. Is there a need for a slightly longer chain or slight adjustment of indexing after install of the Sigeyi hanger? To me it looks like it puts the rear derailleur in a slightly different location than the stock Shimano hanger.

Which Ti bolts?OnTheRivet wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 11:21 pmSo I was actually looking for this thread earlier (couldn't find it) to add to the data. I bought the Sigeyi Direct mount hanger more out of boredome (Ti bolts too!)
After less than six months of usage, my Sigeyi direct mount hanger for Cannondale has cracked. The are actually two cracks at both sides of the thru-axle thread.
There was no indication about it when riding the bike, just noticed during maintenance.
I suggest people check theirs.
I notified Sigeyi too see what they have to say and what will be the solution.
My bike has been in no crash, but I train a lot and race it.

Well, Sigeyi has been quick to respond, credit to that. And they will send a replacement.
They think that the hole cannot withstand the torque but I've been tightening the rear axle only with a torque wrench to 11Nm which they say is fine (and the hanger is designed to handle more than that).
I also cannot memorize that my bike or any other part of it has been subjected to any unusual loads or forces. So its a bit puzzling what the reason is.
