Hello everybody. I'm fom Italy.I'm new to the forum, I signed up with a Merida Sculpture. Now I would like to upgrade to Trek Emonda SL6 PRO. Has anyone had the opportunity to weigh it as standard? I have seen weights between 7.8 kg and 8.2 kg without pedals. I would like to bring it to 7.6 kg including the Vektor 2S pedals. thank you

I have the SL5 Disc, and it was around 9.5kg stock and I have it down to 7.5kg right now with pedals and that's still with the stock 105 groupset. Mucho more weight to drop.

The Trek site lists the SL6 Pro at 8.03 kg for a 56, so I think you can definitely get it to 7.6kg.
This is very impressive for the groupset! I'm sat at 7.7kg but I have a few more things I'd like to change, this is with pedals, cage, mounts etc. However I run a full SRAM Red groupset.

Not sure. It's a Berk Lupina.

Anyone with a 56 frame using the 135mm seat mast? I currently have a 175mm and am considering the 135mm to shave a lil weight there, but wondering if there's enough in the seat mast and frame to safely get the correct saddle height.

drainyoo: You have to measure distance from center-crank to saddlerail on your current setup. Trek geometry-chart says 67-73cm for short seatmast and 70,5-76,5cm for long seatmast for a 56cm frame.

Thanks! Didn't realize this info was in the geo chart. So I need to measure from the center of the BB to the bottom of the saddle rails?

I do, I ride with just under 70cm from BB to saddle rail 😁.

Mine measures 71.73 cm, so looks like I can run the short seat mast.

Hi all together,

First post, so this is Jonas from Germany.
Here is my Emonda. I have mounted among other things a Canyon H36 cockpit. Reason for that choice was that I can mount an integrated solution without cutting and mounting the cables and running them in a channel under the stem as well. But I am unhappy with the aft edge of the stem mounting in transition to the spacers. Does anyone have an idea how to get a better look?
From upside when riding it looks quite cool, as the line is nice with the top tube, but while having an espresso on a stop, I am sitting next to the bike and would love to have that thing a little nicer...

If there is anybody who wants to change a seat mast with 0.5 cm to mine with 2 cm setback - feel free to send a PM.

Great forum so far!

For anyone travelling on the plane with the 21 Emonda (or Tarmac/other integrated bikes), what bags do you use or recommend? I'd assume the Emonda would be slightly more flexible than some aero bikes, but can't test it out prior to buying a bag.

After ordering it almost four months ago I received my Emonda SLR RSL H1 frame today: rim brake (direct mount), size 52.

It's 718g with hanger and wire guides and the fork is 279g uncut.

I searched high & low for a new, ww / light weight frame with direct mount rim brakes. It's amazing that Trek is still selling the Emonda in rim brake. I also would have bought one of the following if I could have found them new and in my size: Wilier Zero, Tarmac SL6, Supersix Evo, Colnago V3RS, BMC TeamMachine SLR 01 2020, Cipolini RB1K (the one).

Can't wait to build it up. I think it will come in around 12.6lbs (5.7kg) with a SRAM Red 22 mechanical group, eebrakes and 45mm EIE wheels with Extralite Cyber hubs. I'll post that in the Introduce Yourself board.

I've only ever travelled once with a bike when I emigrated, but I personally wouldn't transport my bike in anything other than a full hard plastic case...

Your bike looks good. Only problem is the spacers. All the new model bikes look strange with a stack of spacers.

For anyone interested in the weight difference between the standard carbon seat mast and the ultralight version, here you go. The Ultralight is 5g lighter, which is dissapointing.
