Hi there.

Still waiting for some reply of people using EXS fork for giant TCR. would like to know how happy they are , how long they have been using it, if there are anyproblems known.
I am a bit leery when it comes to chinese products, specially about bike components which can be dangerous to use.

Thanks.
KR,
JP.

Which seat topper is this? It looks different to the stock one

I want to buy a 2025 SL in raw carbon in the US, but it's not available on the website. An LBS says it will be available in mid-January. Can you guys confirm this?

Been looking to get something new and a bit more racey coming over from my Scott Addict 20. Naturally looking at Cannondale's SSE but recently the TCR caught my eye and there's a few paint jobs that keep it from looking a bit too generic (which plagues them imo)...

One sale that I saw was a 2022 TCR advanced SL in my size...has there been any major improvements or solutions to design-flaws in the last few years that make 2023+ worth going for even if its down to Advanced Pro?

Thanks in advance !

No, 21-23 only vary in paint schemes. Latest iteration has hidden cables and a few other tweaks over last generation, but no design flaw fixes.

Medium and large are available on the Giant website as of today, I ordered one in M/L in spring and prepaid so they said it's coming this month.... hopefully

Awesome ty! Looking at 2022 Advanced SL Disc 1 (Force) $5800 vs 2024 TCR Advanced Pro 0 (Ultegra) $7k...

Last concern is the ISP I keep reading about

I have an MY21 Advanced SL rim brake in M and the ISP has not been a problem at all. I can easily fit the fully assembled bike in the boot my car with a saddle height of about 80 cm. No problems with cutting or ISP clamp fitment: it's been set and forget since day 1. There's enough variability with the supplied spacers that you can make some tweaks saddle height and there's no chance of the post slipping or creaking!

I have never tried to fit the bike in a box for travel, but there some available that this will fit. I guess the biggest problem is resale if you need to lop off a big chunk of post: I took less than 1 cm off mine, and I doubt I'll ever try to sell it either. Definitely go SL if you want a light bike: mine is 6.5 kg ready to ride without really trying.

Had the last gen SL before the rear brake mount crumbled and needed warrantying and the seat mast wasn't an issue at all. Fitted perfectly. On PeakTorques videos where he complains about it there were a lot of people with no issue and I don't remember seeing many if any others saying theirs was dodgy.

Oh the irony. I have a new TCR SL '25 and I think the seatmast is out of tolerance. The topper fits the uncut part of the seatmast pretty well. Once I cut it down to size though its a really sloppy fit. The cut is square and sits nice inside the topper but its nowhere near as snug as the very top of the seatmast was pre-cut. Funnily enough, the "longer" topper fits better than the shorter one. Its pretty embarrassing that they can't get either part to actually fit properly. The two toppers are different and the size of the seatmast varies down its lenth.

Back to the local dealership I go...

Only waited 5 months for this frameset.

In my case, long legs, shorter torso, the liv geometry fits me much better than a tcr.

If they go hidden cables, d-shaped steerer becomes a problem as i get restricted to the -10° degree stems which then replicates specialized tarmac geometry. My escape would be to go for a -6° stem on the liv and that way end up with fewer spacers.
You clearly just need to buy a Defy.
