Back to the subject of the previous version frameset. Some deals out there. Would love to build up with integrated cables, aero cockpit and light wheels. Seems like that would get 90% of the new frameset advantage. From the thread, I see the Farsports F1 mentioned - but they do not appear to have spacers to fit the TCR, only the Propel. (there was a random Facebook page claiming to 3d print spacers for TCR? Not sure i'm up for that.) The other option I saw was the EXS Fork. I was a bit nervous about the fork, it is both relatively new, not a huge market and and there is signifcant cost. ( Although it looks like a pretty good option all things considered )

There was this post, but no further info:

Apologies for n00b question but...if I have an integrated bar/stem which accommodates hidden cabling, is it possible for this to work well with the 2020 TCR Advanced SL fork where - AFAIK - the front brake hoses are outside the fork? The bike is question is SRAM AXS equipped so no other cabling apart from brake hoses.
I'd imagine most integrated bar/stems will work as they generally have an exit for the cable near the centre of the bars.
Am I missing anything important? And is trying to save a few watts of Aero silly anyway ;)

Any ideas on a new cockpit for the old frameset would be appreciated. TIA.
I may have misinterpreted @CornwallJon's question, but my reply was about using an integrated bar stem with external cables, not facilitating hiding them. You can only hide the cables with a modified or 3rd party fork like the EXS.

IMO hiding cables on the older TCR with the EXS fork could look worse unless your bike is already black or you are getting the fork painted to match the bike. And don't kid yourself that it's about aero when it's really done for looks. There's probably only 1 or 2 watts in it at best.

If you're just looking for an integrated barstem and are keeping the external brake hoses, then there are a lot of options including Giant's own models, Avian Canary/Falcon, Bigrock Skyline, and others from AliX. I have the Giant Contact bars on my rim brake MY21 TCR, where external cables are an opportunity for some extra bling.

Oh - thanks for the clarification - and the reinforcement on "hiding cables is for looks, not aero gains"! I'm definitely a function over form person, kind of part of what I was asking.

Size M indeed. I can post some more pictures in a couple of weeks after the finetuning is finished Image

Dear,

i am new to the forum so hello to everyone. Hope i get some good input on the the bikes and parts. so currently i own Giant TCR Di2 2023. so it is a year and a half old bike and now a new one is out which is fully integrated. I have a question or two.

I know about EXS fork for giant TCR but not sure how safe they are since i kind of not really trust this Chinese carbon things and fork can be deadly if it go bad on a downhill.
so maybe if you guys have experience can say more about it and try to convince me to buy it :).

Second is about original GIant TCR fork with integrated cables. Did anyone try or get info if it fits to the previous version ?

thanks.
kind regards,
JP.

I recently bought TCR Advanced Pro 1 2023 and it seems the rear wheel isn't centered in the frame. Wheel is about 2mm closer to drive side chain/seat stays. I have tried with 2 wheelset but haven't yet tried to flip the wheel. Is this normal?

How hard it is to find a frameset of Giant TCR Advanced SL rim brake, MY21 or MY22, large size.

Depends where you are I suppose.

Easy enough in UK, though.

Thank you, my friend! UK is far away for me, but I will leave it registered as an option if I cannot find any online store in the USA.

I live in Brazil, but I have friends in the USA, would anyone know if there is any tax payment if I buy the frameset from UK and send it to the USA?

You will probably have to pay US sales tax and import duty. Copilot says the duty rate is 11% then state sales tax on top. Westbrooks ships to the USA via FedEx priority for £35 and will remove the UK VAT from the purchase price so the price you'd need to pay them is £1667 with possibly £300-400 back on for import taxes and duty at the worst. You might get away with it though. Amazing frame for that money with or without extra taxes .. do it! :D

Thanks for the information, my friend. I'm going to organize myself to buy this one.
