Yep, tried to put a beveled edge with no luck. Tossed those insoles. At least I had them as extras from an older set. I also tried cutting a 1mm piece of craft foam and putting that in before the insole. And cut the foam smaller than than the insole. To effectively raise up the middle sections. This may have worked but I think the foam I had was too soft.

Man the new 2021 shoe market is limited. Not many new releases. Ares, Rc902, stabilita, and a few other non-top end stuff but that's it. Giro, Bontrager, and Fizik due for new releases/updates soon. Response from Suplest was nothing new until next year. Anyone know of anything new in the pipeline? Viviani on a new unreleased DMT at the moment.
Giving up on Ares. Waiting to hear back from shop if I can get full refund or warranty.

I recently ordered a pair of Luck shoes. Should hopefully arrive soon. My Sidi's are pretty worn and I was looking for something different to try. Originally looking at Northwave, and came across Luck which appear to be great value. Looking forward to trying them out!
Mine arrived yesterday, superb quality !!2000m2 wrote:I recently ordered a pair of Luck shoes. Should hopefully arrive soon. Waiting for Bont Vaypor+ now. The website says that due to supply issues even stock sizes are being made when you order - so that's 5-6 weeks. Few weeks more then before I decide if I need the double wide and if I do I'll have to wait again.
I'm left handed, if that matters.

Hi all, hoping to get some advice about my shimano RC902s that I just purchased.
So I've previously been riding an old fizik r5, but I think its time has come and the minor ish heel slip i've gotten from it over the years has been the main thing I dislike about the shoe. So, I've gotten myself the RC902s after a recommendation from a friend with a narrow heel. However after a 2h ride, i developed a nice blister on the ouside of the heel, just where the heel cup ends height-wise.
I was wondering if the plastic can be moulded somehow to better accomodate my heel? Or if something else can be done? Or will a few rides help loosen the plastic up a bit.
Otherwise I will be selling them on as there is quite a bad pressure spot there.

I went away from shimano's (RC901) because of heel lift. I have narrow heels and Specialized is the solution for me.

Have suplest edge+ pro road and fizik stabilita both white both size 44 in the for sale forum. Both did not work out for me.
Reviews:
Stabilita uppers are really nice. New boas also nice. Not narrow at all. Actually the best fitting uppers I've tried in a while. The arch is flexible. But just too high for me. The heel hold isn't that great but I equate that to the arch pulling me forward too. Overal almost kept them, but arch is too high for my low arches, but flexible makes it better. The sole itself is still stiff. Actually used these outside a few times.
Suplest we're just a bit too tight on the bunion area. Didn't want to risk them not breaking in and being too narrow there so didn't even use them. Despite them not actually being a narrow shoe by any means. Just not enough give in that specific section. Bunions are not too bad, but just enough. The sole star insoles were too high for me too, so if I were to have kept them, would've used something softer and lower such as specialized red or similar.
Back to the drawing board. Might try the new Garneau air lite XZ, Gaerne, DMT, Bontrager, or perhaps the Fizik R2 since they look pretty much like the stabilita but without the arch. Fun and money continues.

The 902’s are definitely narrow. I don’t like how the soft sides squish your feet when you really tighten the BOA’s. But that’s usually the case with soft uppers.Hapsmo911 wrote:Are the reviews accurate on the fit between these two shoes? I hear they are nearly identical? I just sold both pairs of S-Works 7's and was planning on ordering the RC902's. The 7's were fine but I dont like the built in varus and in a perfect world, could use a slightly narrower toe box. I have RX8's that fit like a glove. I was hoping these were just about the same.ryanw wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 1:53 pmThose running the new Shimano RC902's, what arch supports are you using?
Mine came with medium (yellow) and high (red), and assume low is just the standard innersole with no support added?
I went between medium and low (none) and settled on low (none).
Obviously this is personal preference, but thought I'd ask (coming from S-Works 7s).
