I used sonax perfect finish for 99% of the bike but needed to step upto a compound for some of the decals on the frame as I was polishing by hand and needed more cut. I used koch chemie h8 02 for this and then refined with perfect finish.NoMütze wrote:amazing! following...
what polish are you using? some hints about "dos and donts"
thx
As for dos and don'ts it's a bit of a mine field really but I'd say work slowly and methodically and make sure you check progress regularly. Always start with lowest cut combination and increase if required, you dont want to remove nore clear coat than required. Thanks for comment

Top work Danny (although I had to google the IPA before I started pouring beer over my car).

Thanks, well the wheels was circa 3 hours of polishing and coating and the frame was something on the order of 5 hours polishing and another hour of coatings so around 8hours of work in all here. Thankfully there is very much less surface area compared to a car lol

Haha you bet, I did treat myself to a spin on the turbo with it last night to get the shifters perfectly aligned, seat levelled and seat height and position perfect, hence the little flakes of wax everywhere from the chain. It rides beautifully even stood still so I cant wait to fire it up some hills!
