Looks like the old Spinaci bars remade in carbon. Not UCI legal if that matters to you.

Just means you can't use them in competition. The Spinaci were good back in the day before they got banned.

Marketing them for gravel bikes is a bit odd. Last place I'd use an aero-bar.

They can market them for anything, but since you say it, i agree.
For road bikes i find it a great idea.

I couldn't use them on my bike, won't work with my Zipp SL-70 Aero bars, I'm looking at trying to adapt a Specialized Venge stem mount.

Yup, a lot of the top finishers at races like Dirty Kanza use clip-on aero bars. Probably for both comfort and aero, some of those guys are averaging 20+mph for 200+ miles.

Seems like the worst of both worlds. Horribly unstable but still uncomfortable. Definitely buzzwords and empty marketing at work.

If someone was going to use an aero extension for gravel, it seems like they should put in the time and effort to get used to using real clip-on bars.

I have been pondering for some time on how i could find one. Only slight hick-up is what the width is of this piece.
I forgot to ask when i ordered and now it's on it's way.

I think it's great for normal road riding.
Actually a bit of a bummer for those who use flat /oval or shaped aero bars.

If i just could persuade someone to make me a 115mm - 8 stem it would be even better

If it's light and actually provided a benefit, it would be different.

Since they're so short, it doesn't really change your position from hands in the hoods, and since they lack the forearm support that clip-on bars have, they really don't increase comfort.

The people running clip-ons on gravel are already comfortable with clip-ons, so they use real clip-ons and enjoy the benefits of them. This product is aimed towards those uncomfortable or inexperienced with clip-ons but want to be sorta like the pros.

(I wouldn't run clip-ons because the idea sounds suicidal with my current lack of experience with them in general)

Want to be more aero, get in the drops...

...going over 12-13mph? Get in the drops.
...in the big ring? Get in the drops.
...descending? Get in the drops.

Can't ride in the drops for very long? Get more flexible or change your cockpit so you can.

I think it would be awesome for marathon MTB events with paved/gravel sections like Leadville.
